Sorry girls, I like Asian girls better because they aren't that hairy. This hairless Asian thing is a real deciding factor for me when I look at someone.

i think asian girls look cute because of her non.european eyes. An eyelid operation doesn´t make you pretty -.-

Excuss me confused I'm sorry but its hard to grasp what you're saying in your sentence. I wish I could understand what you mean. cry Could you explain a little better?

Here's what I think Shadow's saying: Asian girls are uniquely pretty because of the difference between their eyes and Western (European) eyes. They don't need operations to make themselves prettier because they are pretty in their own way, and they shouldn't be influenced to think that looking like Western girls will make them prettier.

I like asian eyes. And if they operate their eyelid it doesn´t automatically make them prettier (even though they think it does), sometimes their looks can even become worse since the european eyes don´t always suit asians http://images.ocregister.com/newsimages/news/2005/11/14pla stic1.jpg

I was talking to my friend today who is asian and it seems like her parents want her to have eyelid surgery and at first I had no clue what that was but after she told me I understood .She wants to have it so she can look pretty and that's why her parents want her to have it but she's scard it might hurt.

Idunno it kinda upsets me that she thinks she'll be pretty once she gets it done. What do you guy think about it? Maybee I'm overreacting.

If her eyelids are affecting her eye sight tell her to get the surgery. If not, just tell her that she is already pretty the way she is.

Do you mean the opposite? Last I checked, Asia and Eastern Europe were still dragging behind the West with regards to handling body hair.

In regards to the initial post:

If I were Asian, and female, I'd worry more about my bra size than eyelids. Easily fixable! laugh

Whether or not it's "hard" to be anything... Some people have to do more than others to be attractive, but today's technology does give us the means if we so choose, and decide it's important to us. Hell, I work out 2-3 hours a day to maintain my body. That's a hell of a lot more work than some of the women I know, who simply went out and bought implants. I do it for myself though, not for anyone else.

Asia is the East.....Europe and America are the West

Wow......Europe is also the "West" you know.

European might not shave like Americans do, but asian girls don't need to shave because they aren't that hairy. HAVE you ever been with an asian girl? A Chinese or Japanese or Korean girl?

you disappoint me spawnblade I thought you were cool and not racist.

If laughing at, and supporting amusing stereotypes is racist--then yes, I'm racist.

But physical traits, inherent to the different ethnicities, are more factual than simply stereotypical . As for the Asian women I have known (one Korean, one Japanese), it really depends the type of body hair we're talking about. I'd say they have far less leg/arm hair than Caucasian counterparts, I agree there. Further discussion, that might support my comment, is a bit to ero for this thread.

And I'm pretty sure the part you quoted has me including Europe in the West. Unless your remark was because the common stereotype claims that all Europeans don't shave?

Anyway--weird discussion.

I can assure you, that some Asian girls are hairy too. And the hair colour is dark (e.g. on their arms in summer when they wear short sleeves). That's even worse. I grew up and lived among them, so I know Asian people can have different body types.

And I agree with Spawnblade. Removing leg/arm, underarm and bikini line hair is a common practice in the West, while still much fewer Asian women, esp. those who actually live in Asia and have been had less influence from Western cultures, do so. In some Asian countries, you will find women wearing sleeveless clothes showing their hairy armpits. no

HER PARENTS SAID THAT? what to look like caucasians or other people who have a crease on their eye(some asians i know have a crease, so generally not all asians have the kind of eyes that stereotypes point at)? just cos of that? WTF? thats pretty ridiculous of parents to say such crap. btw as for the asians girls part.. I dont think all of them have it hard for the reasons you just mentioned. Some parents of my friends, theyre asians.. will kill them if they ever have those kinda surgery thats why what you said surprised.

usually parents, NOT ONLY ASIANS, want their children to excel at school for GOOD REASONS. not to do surgery as such.

tell your friend what shes gonna do might do more damage than to fix it.

Wow...what a strange parents she has.
I don't know if she is pretty or not,but , just changing her eye, won't make her prettier.
Besides, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Just because her parents doesn't think she is beautiful, doesn't mean other people thinks the same way too. There will be someone who will think she is pretty just the way she is.

I'm an Asian (Indian), don't need a eyelid surgery but if I did any plastic/makeover surgery to make me pretty I'm sure my parents will kill me.Even thinking about it makes me shiver...... dead
