First time I had it, I was at home. Couldn't move any part of my body. I kinda freaked out and out of the corner of my eyes I saw a shadowy figure walk into my closet. Second time it was when I was in my dorm. Same deal, I couldn't move. I saw a face kind of pulling toward me. And the third time, nothing really happened... I just sort of laid there unable to move or speak, just looking at my roommate sleeping across the room. Haven't had any since then...

I haven't personally, but I know that this tends to be a fairly common phenomena associated with cultures with high stress rates. It actually pops up a lot in Japanese literature.

Yes, all the time. I get out of it only to get it again. >__>

Luckily, I don't suffer any visual or auditory hallucinations when I'm it. That would be so freaky. It's hard to breathe and annoying, but that's it.

Even though I never had sleep paralysis, waking up is the worst part of my day. My body'll ache in so many places, and along with that, after a night of the house being blessedly empty, people are crowding it again.

That's sounds really scary if you can't move at all. I haven't ever had this, can you at least move your eyes and look around when like this?

I think so. I can't remember, but yes, if you're not aware of what's happening while you're in this state, it's terrifying. I've had it happen a handful more times within the past 4 months, once in public (i was napping in between classes).

Never had once, hope never will.. but i know some people who had similar experience. Surprisingly, everyone here believe sleep paralysis is related to occult. I won't bother to tell them that there's scientific explanation for that phenomenon.. people believe something superficial, for me, it's hardly to believe.

Yes.
Conscious of everything, (like my sister walking past me/tv/etc) and I can't move (trying to shout/squirm/get out of paralysis).

First, I try moving my arm and if I can't I panic. When I panic....this is what's most tiring-- i try screaming, move, sometimes i feel i'll never get out of the sleep paralysis and in a minute, i think i might die.

Though not physically, it's very mentally tiring. I try to stay still (and stop panicking) and muster up all my will power and try to move my whole body (or twist around). If successful and wake up, i inhale/exhale like i've just been in a marathon. Tiredness from it makes me fall back to sleep almost instantly, then it happens again. Go back to step1 and try not to sleep this time. -_-

I hate it when this happens. Scary :S .Oh lord, i hope i don't die in sleep paralysis.

It was a mental experience!

At that time, I wasn't aware that I was experiencing sleep paralysis, I woke up realizing that I couldn't move my body (my sleeping posture was lying on my back).

My ears kept on hearing this 'Beeping' noise and I felt a physical pressure of someone pressing my shoulders and chest onto the bed. Thankfully, this happened at daylight, I wasn't panicking because I could see everything around me..there was no one there. [When I think about it, I would have panic if this happened in the dark].

The first thing that came into my mind is the 'fear' that I could see the creature that was holding my body. I was also worried if there's any sudden movements on my legs, if that creature was trying to open my legs wide [You know what I mean by that, I was very superstitious about the whole incubus/succubus thing lol].

Thankfully, the sleep paralysis only happened for a couple of minutes, I didn't remember how I fell asleep after that. As soon as I woke up, I checked the internet and eventually found out that I just experienced 'Sleep paralysis'.

i'll be waking up and i can't move. i can't open my eyes. it feels like a pressure is on me. my heart and breathing speed up. my legs hurt and won't move. i start to panic and struggle. then when i feel hopeless, there is a snap ad i can move and breath again. i get up and walk around for a bit to relax and because i'm scared of a relapse. after a while, i go back to sleep and all is well. this usually happens after a nightmare or a really deep sleep.

Yeah, I've had it quite a lot all through my life. Used to freak me out, but then I reached the point a few years ago where I just accepted it and realise when I'm in it. I try to experiment while in that state, like trying to move or speak or look around. A few years ago, it happened while my ex was playing FF and I dozed off watching him. I saw him turn around and called me a freak then go back to his game, apparently I was "breathing funny" with my eyes half open. That was pretty interesting.
