Pardon me? What actually happened in this chapter besides Ulquiorra showing his new Cero?
There isn't really anyone here who thought that Getsuga Tenshou could do any harm to Ulquiorra, is there?

Anyway, now that Ishida is having more screentime, I'm beginning to appreciate his character some more. Why did Tite change him into a side-character again? I like his sensible approach of thinking. And well the rest that happened in this chapter wasn't anything unpredictable.

Ichigo has just proven to me that his Getsuga Tenshou is just as weak as he is. And he will do no harm to Ulquiorra for maybe another 2 or 3 chapters the rate this is going, >_>

And yeah it is. I was expecting to at least see a Inoue says "Kurosaki-kun..."

What happened to the good old Soul Society days, when Ichigo was kicking ass and taking names?

Sure he barely won his fights even then, but at least his inner hollow kicked Byakuya's ass.
This arc however... I just don't get it, even though he got hollow form he's not *that* much stronger than a Captain. He got owned by Grimmjow multiple times before he won, and yet Kenpachi beats someone stronger than Grimmjow on his first try... without even a shikai...

Since inner Ichigo doesn't seem to wanna get his lazy ass out there, I wanna see more Ishida beat Yammi, and the top Espada kick some Captain ass. I bet when the Top 3 beat the Captains the Vaizards will come and save the day.

Ishida has always been a side character, and he'll keep being a side character as long as he's a quincy. There're too many "smart" guys in bleach, too many people that think like 10+ steps ahead in a fight and they're all on par with Ishida if not better.

Hollow ichigo won't show until Ichigo's about to be killed, he doesn't want to save ichigo, he wants full control of the body. So he most likely won't appear unless ichigo is either about to die or begs for him to step up.

This fight won't end anytime soon, and I have a feeling Yammy will deal with Ishida when the time comes.

At least One Piece is still interesting, less and less weekly series to keep up with now if bleach keeps at this pace...

And by development, I meant that it wasn't as boring as the previous chapters IMO. But I'd still like more Ishida and less 'Save the world' Kurosaki. I mean, if Ishida already promised Inoue that he's gonna be fine and blahblahblah, then how could he ever be defeated? Because breaking promises don't happen often in the shounen manga..

The inconsistency of Kurosaki's strength just keeps bothering me

Sigh. I know what you mean... Soul Society was as good as it is ever going to get... When Ichigo beat Ikkaku, he had to use his brain and pull off some moves. Same thing with Renji. He had to figure out how many attacks Renji's pattern had. Sure it wasn't much but it was pretty interesting for a shonen. As for Kenpachi, he didn't think but Zangetsu helped him. The hollow beat Byakuya. It is clear how it kept getting less and less about thinking and more about the power-up.


Yeah, lol. I would have absolutely never guessed that after the final and most powerfull "Grand Rey Cero" there would be yet another cero that was stronger... and Ulquiorra is only 4th. Whats to say the top 3 don't have their own purple, orange and pink ceros?
