Look, it's the first thread that I started! *dances* laugh Anyhow, I saw this on another forum so I thought it would be worth it to pass it around. ;) I hope I don't get warned that it's *gulp* spam or that it gets automatically locked. O_o (That's be SO bad...! ;_;) Anyhow...

Your Age by Diner & Restaurant Math

This is pretty neat.

Don't cheat by scrolling down first!

It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read.

Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat.
(More than once but less than 10.)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold).

3. Add 5.

4. Multiply it by 50.

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757, if you haven't, add 1756.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number.

The first digit of this was your original number.
(I.e., how! Many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)

The next two numbers are...

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

This is the only year (2007) it will ever work, so spread it around while it lasts.
---
Don't know about that last sentence since I sort of remember something similar to this for another year that passed. none

Hey, my first post ever on here for your first thread.

Anyway, it worked for me, pretty cool, but I think there's a pretty obvious and simple explanation for it.

Clearly, Takiko is a witch... *sigh*... Hang on, lemme go find my witch burnin clothes...

Well, it worked for me and I thought it was a pretty neat trick. I've always been wondering how people make these things in the first place...

First of all I hadn't seen this one before and this can be fixed to do this in any year btw. First of all it matters not which number you pick for instance after multiplying by 2 adding 5 and the times 50 you get
2>4>9>450
3>6>11>550
4>8>13>650
5>10>15>750
6>12>17>850
7>14>19>950
8>16>21>950
9>18>23>1050

Reason everytime you go up by one and double that you get a difference of 2 so the 5 doesn't matter in that respect and each number is therefore 2*50 greater than the next or 100 greater the five gets the numbers where the person wants it.

Next you add 1757 if you've had your bday already and 1756 if you haven't all this does is give you either a 7 or a 6 as the last digit as well as set the number to one that is about 1800 more than the 3 digit numbers which makes them drop by two in the hundreds and increase by 2 in the thousands space(so that the digit in the hundreds matches with your initial pick) . So that when you now subtract your b-year you're really subtracting from 2007/2006 + 200 or 300,400,500...900 according to what you picked so you will be left with the hundreds number and the number of years from your b year to the present. Again the 2007/2006 distinguishes if you've had a birthday this year or not cause if you haven't then it really just decreases the diff by 1.

Example my b year is 1987 october so i'm nineteen turning 20

If I pick 2 then 2>4>9>450+1756(cause i'm a proud october person) =2206-1987= 219 the first number is the original number times 100 and the other two are my age smile

If I pick 7 then 5>10>15>750+1756+2506then subtract 1987 and you get.....
519 what a surprise smile

Sorry if this spoiled it for you but i'm answering lambchop who wonders how people come up with these things bigrazz

I'm still reeling over women are evil one .
you know:
Women=timeXmoney
Time=money so
women= moneyxmoney or moneysquared
money is the root of all evil so women = (root of evil)sqaured which
means women +evil smile Just incase you didn't know bigrazz

thanks for doing the math on it. It didn't really work for me, because i took the wrong number for if i had my birthday or not.
it just shows, that the best traps can't work on somebody too stupid too fall into it.
