Definite PC gamer. I have a PS2 but only use it for DVD movies these days. PC games are usually poor out of the box, so I play them with Mods. Recently I modded Jagged Alliance 2 and got a whole new game experience out of a ten year old game. I only play RPGs with mods these days too, just not interesting with vanilla versions.

Consoles can't be modded so I just don't find them interesting. However, I will play Resident Evil 4 all the way through while I'm waiting for a download so it's not a total waste biggrin

I enjoy both. I can't play pvp shooter games on a console... it feels weird, thus PC. There's also SC2 on PC. I do enjoy arcade/fighting games on console. BlazBlue and Street Fighter IV on PS3 ftw.

I can't play on the computer. I just can't. Mostly I hate the controls, but I also hate the lag (And also there aren't a lot of games for my Mac).
I have played games on the PC, but mostly emulators of old games I can't find, ie, FF7. It constantly crashed on me.
I like the feeling of having a controller in my hands (though I suppose there are add-ons for PC, but whatever) and being something I can just put down or not distract me while I'm doing homework on the computer.
I take extreme care of my consoles too, I still have a Nintendo 64 in near perfect condition. And PCs I find, no matter what, will get viruses and other problems eventually. But perhaps that's just my experience. The only console my family's ever had that's broken is the Wii (which isn't mine, and also, I hate it).

Consolefag out.

I play whatever has the games I like. I notice that is mostly PS (PS, PS2, PSP, PS3) systems and the DS. I might find a few games I like on the cube and Wii. Most of the PC games I play are fan translated visual novels. I mostly like Japanese games. It's rare for me to like a game that isn't Japanese made. I can count them on one hand. It's just my taste. I don't really like the 360 because I don't see it getting any Gust or NISA games and I love those. Final Fantasy? So what I can get it on the PS3. Star Ocean? Again I can get it on the PS3. Tales of? I rather import the PS3 versions because they are more complete.

I used to play on my dad's PC but he's made me erase my DMC 4 and Sims 2 files three times already that I've given up. My PC needs a new graphics card so I can play DMC 4 and the Sims 2 so yeah I've converted to playing my Wii and Xbox 360. That way games aren't eating up my computer memory and my files are safe from being erased by my dad.

CONSOLE. PC's weren't made to play video games. Consoles have controllers.
Plus I have a mac and mac doesn't play games lol it's srs business.

I see it this way:
I have a laptop for internet/FCP/Movies
I have a cellphone for calling.
I have an Ipod for music
And I have my consoles for gaming.

Plus I hate the games they have for PC and even if it's a console game made for pc it's not the same without the controller.

more console then pc. with console i mean gameboy. i have gameboys since the gameboy colour and always played pokemon. i also play rpgs, animal crossing and harvest moon on the gameboy. other consoles are really minor, we just had a gam cube and a ps2, and since they are ad my mothers bedroom i canĀ“t play R-16 or R-18 games.
My PC is only used for Sims 2 & 3 as well as some otome and galge (some turn out to be eroge at the end -.-"). Sometimes MMORPGS, but never longer then a week

First of all, you can buy controllers for the PC.

Second of all, PCs weren't made play games? Where have you been the past decade or so? We have gaming PCs these days, and depending on the build, they can even put consoles to shame.

Games are made on the PC.
The reasons why some games aren't released for the PC are stability/compatibilty issues, piracy, and in some cases, sponsorship.

No controllers on PC. laugh
I've never owned a console in my life and I managed to spend a frightfully large amount of time in my youth playing games. Go figure.

Most of the games I play turn out better on PC then on consoles (I'm talking about ratings the same game gets on different platforms).

Well, at least you're supporting the industry with all the gadgets you buy. laugh

Wait, mac doesn't play games? Then what have I been doing for all these years... Would people please stop it with saying MacOS/Apple doesn't support/have games, what doesn't play native (many games that matter do) is easily playable via virtualisation or a simple dual-boot.

Controllers on a computer is a non-issue. Pretty much every controller is connectable and with the correct drivers even usable (take the PS3 controllers for example, those are simple bluetooth HID devices).

Not every game is 'better' on a computer, I find that adventure games (like for example prince of persia) play better on a console (camera issues), but this is most likely due to bad porting.
Same with shooters on a console... the gameplay just downright sucks, aiming with a joystick is silly and imprecise.

That said, I'm no serious 'gamer' and mainly bought a PS3 for it's blu-ray capabilities and OtherOS option... with which Sony seriously screwed the community by removing.
