Well yuri get my vote and shoujo annoys the heck out of me even though there some (shoujo) that are still interesting but I always avoid these two.

I say shoujo (because I spent years reading it when I was but a wee middle schooler, and now think it's just lacking in everything), but I can tolerate it--what I really don't like, opposite of most posters here, is hetero romance. It just doesn't interest me.

Hands down, however, what I canNOT stand is gender-benders. Seriously, I find most of them terribly insulting. They basically brush over the honest issues of transgendered people, and turn it into an irritating mockery of what is actually a very serious circumstance.
I know manga isn't meant to be taken seriously (usually), but I can't help but get extremely annoyed with gender benders.
Sooo...anyone can reccomend gender benders that WON'T make any sensible person want to punch a wall?

Yaio/Bl isnt smth i read.. mainly because i once got a yaoi book in my hands and opened at probably the most "no-no" page immediatly..
i might consider reading one if theres a fairly interesting plot, relationship developement and definetly no intercourse.. if there exists smth like that, plz do tell me.. bigrazz

Shojuo/Josei
I just can't really find a story that I want to finish to the end. I guess it would be more Josei though as I'm reading/read Koukou Debut Tokyo Crazy Paradise.

What kind of manga do you like?

My favorite Gender Bender would be ..
W Juliet! It's a romantic comedy. It's about a guy, Makoto, who has to pretend he is a girl until he graduates high school so that he can follow his dream of being an actor! I would highly recommend it!
Ai wo Utau Yori Ore ni Oborero! Romantic/comedic manga about a handsome girl and a girly (very cute!!) guy.
I think/hope you like it! I'll add more recommendations later biggrin

I've had manga I've read and enjoyed from every one of these demographics with the exception of josei. I've never read a josei manga. No josei manga has ever seemed remotely interesting to me.

My favorite of the four demographic is seinen (of the poll choices I'd have picked yuri though; but I don't consider it or yaoi demographics). Things I like in manga are action, ecchi, yuri, hentai, badass female characters, and maybe some fantasy/sci-fi element (manga can bore me if the setting is too realistic). If someone knows a josei manga that could maybe interest, me I'll be glad to listen. Right now I'm not sure one exists.

Question: Are you guys actually asking for recommendations? laugh

From what I've gathered from the OP you have to state which genre/demographic you like and which you dislike, in order for other people to recommend. And for those who said BL, which was the majority, please state other mangas you like from other genres so that others can recommend from there.

The only flaw here is that those that want to recommend and have not read series others have liked won't know how to compare and actually give recommendations. So if you do list what mangas (from a specfic genre) you do like, might as well list why you like that manga.

Anyway I read all genres/demographics. I don't avoid any, so don't really think I need any recommendations. smile

Oh...didn't even read the OP's post. XD

Well yeah, answer's still the same. Yaoi/Bl is the one I dislike. And the one I tried was some yaoi manga from Minami Haruka or something. I think I tried some other shounen ai but I can't remember its name...
And right now, my favorite would be Seinen and sports Shounen, I guess historical action seinen would be the ones I like. Something like Historie. And sports is love<3

Not much of a Seinen reader~

The only Seinen I've read so far that I can actually remember is Nephylym. And I guess it's satisfactory.

Recommendations ?

I told you Minami HaruKa is just a bad way to start! mad

Since you like sports shounen manga, which is one of my favs~*-*
Here are some yaoi with sports manga, and it's not even smutty. Though I do suggest you to list down sports manga you've read so that others can list some djs from those manga.

The only thing is that it's rare to find a BL where sports is basically the plot, instead of why they fall in love and stuff, if that makes any sense?

Dareka wo Suki na Hito --More or less about the romance, but sports is still a key here.
Punch Drunk Babies--Boxing, and it's actually covered a lot.
Double Call--This might be the only one you find with a shounenish feel, that's why I like it so much. Just beware of a few pages.*-*
Yakyuu Tengoku --Same as above~*-*
Shiranai Kao --Ping pong! Original, I guess not sure you may like it though. xD
