Well,, right now, I'm looking for a manga about magic. (I forgot the genre, but I'm sure it's not hentai/yuri/yaoi/shounen ai/shoujo ai)..
What I remember is:
There is a magic academy, and the protagonist (male) is a new student. Right after the students enrolled there, there is a ceremony (ritual) to find out his/her type of magic, which is shown in the shape of cards. There are about 10 types? or or more? (I forgot), consist of earth type and heaven type or something. The ceremony is done by putting each student's hands to the water surface which then will scan his/her type of magic.
At the ceremony, there is a commotion, in which the magic scanning the students' magic types went out of control. If I'm not mistaken, it happened because some guys disturbs a student (who was concentrating putting his/her hands on the water). So that the magic won't harm more people, the protagonist step up and try to defend the magic.
After the incident, it turns out that the protagonist has the rarest magic (card) even around the world. His ability can annul other's magic. From then on, a number of parties that try to get the protagonist (because of the magic) appear.
That's what I remember...
