Sup folks, for a long while now I've been wanting to read a manga with the following points:

1- Male lead is the typical perfect guy we see in a lot of shoujos, he's smoking hot, highly intelligent (once a child prodigy), good at everything he does, and is kind.

2- The female lead is either a good friend or best friend.

3- Only the female lead knows his mischievous and naughty side.

4- He's always doing little things to sabotage her love life ( he doesn't treat her poorly)

5- He loves her very much ( a little compulsive, really)

6- They end up together

I wish I'd find one with all the points above but it's okay if 3 and 5 are missing.

Now for pluses:

⋆ If the guy is the older brother's friend = HUGE plus
⋆ The female lead is strong and has an interesting personality = HUGE plus
⋆ If he's very composed and stoic at the beggining, but as the story progresses he starts to provoke the female lead and show her his naughty side
⋆ A setting in college rather than in high school ( though it's also ok if he's a college student and she is in the last years of high school)
⋆ Despite being mean sometimes, he's always there when she most needs.

I probably came across with something similar to this before, but the only ones I can remember of ( and they aren't quite what I'm looking for) are Special A and Hana Yori Dango.

It's ok if the manga has a similar plot or something along these lines, any answer will be much appreciated.

Ps: sorry if there are any mistakes, I typed too fast and didn't check up.

This made me think of Koi da no Ai da no. I don't think it fits all your points but it came to mind reading your description. It's set in high school.

If you want a college setting Cheese in the Trap has several of the characteristics.

And it's only marginally related and very short, but it has the friends falling in love and older brother type: Tonari no Megane-kun.

Thanks meredithbecca and Aremon, I was not expecting anyone to answer at all, so I'm quite happy, I'll check out the manga you've suggested *✲゚*。♡

I second Koi Dano Ai Dano but read the prequel, Warau Kanoko-sama as it gives a nice backstory to their friendship.

Also try Last Game if you haven't already, as I believe it is a fit.

Oh my gosh. Thank you for articulating on of my favourite tropes in romance manga!

Regarding your request for recommendations, I'd point you to Otonari Complex (A little low on point 1 but makes up on the other points)

My male friend also fits, but honestly I didn't enjoy it enough to continue reading. But maybe it'll suit your taste? 😁

Your question reminded me of Ouji-sama ni wa Doku ga Aru.
And Ani Tomo might not be what you requested but it's pretty good so I suggest it as well. Their interactions really make you giggle like a maniac.

Hatsukoi ni Oboreta
Anata ni Hana o Sasagemashou
kare kano
Special A
Heroine Shikkaku (Kind of a roller coaster tbh)
