Just not Shizune.

I picked Hanako she actually seems like a person I will talk to.

Yeah, the full version is out after quite a few years.

I finished the last route today, and I've got to say that I was pleasantly surprised by most of them, except the one I was expecting the most out of, which did not amuse me.

Thoughts on it?

I'm currently playing the game (13% completion), still a long way to go before I have the ending. I want to have a good Hanako ending though. Lilly is not bad though.
I just don't like the pair of Misha and Shizune, definitely a no no.

Hanako's route is the best route (even if I've played only hers so far lol). Precious baby ;u; I will probably go after Rin and Lilly next. Emi seems okay too. Then I will stop at that because Misha and Shizune annoy the living hell out of me. There's no way I can bring myself to date those insensitive shrews.

Before I even played the game, I was determined to go down Hanako's route first, and I did, but I found myself being captivated by Lilly, so I went for her instead XD

Lilly's route was my favourite out of all the girls. Emi came second.
I was disappointed with Hanako's route, otherwise she probably would have been my favourite.

Anyway, my vote goes to Lilly. She had charmed me from the moment when we were first introduced to her.

As a person, I like Hanako the best, but Emi has probably the most entertaining route. I can't count the number of times I just burst out laughing playing her route, especially a certain scene that happens in a shed.

Only one I didn't like was Rin. She's interesting, but her personality clashed with my own, so I didn't feel any happiness or accomplishment after finishing her route. I hit bad end with her so many times...

Rin, Hanako, & Kenji are my favorites so far. But I also like Shizune & Misha.

I pretty much only liked the Lilly and Shizune routes, Emi was okay enough (started strong, about halfway became weak) the other routes were kind of "meh.".
Lilly because her story was just good and the ending satisfying... That, and I liked her personality.
Shizune, especially after the first act, because I liked the sign language element and the story was put together nicely... Misha could have been done a bit better though (especially near the end).

Rin's path annoyed me to no end, Hisao (a.o.) constantly saying she doesn't make sense or that he doesn't understand (while she's saying perfectly understandable and/or logical things) didn't help at all. She had her funny moments, but this offered little compensation to the chore of finishing her route (which I didn't enjoy in the least).

With the minor exception of the Rin route, after the first act (which many will have already completed ages ago) there's really no way to go "wrong".
Choices are few and very straightforward, which made it feel more like visual novel and less like a dating sim (which is probably how it should be, but takes a bit of the challenge out of it).

I've also noticed that only Lilly seems to have a "true" ending (meaning an ending with a bit of story after the credits), the rest is just sort of good... Did I miss something (shouldn't be possible with 100% completion)?

PS:
I liked how this game was not really about disability. Whilst being a mayor element (and the entire premises), it's not the focus. It's about overcoming disability(tragedy) and/or showing that even i.e. a blind person is just another human being.
Hisao is not there to "save/fix" anyone, he is not the "good guy", he is just another cog in the wheel learning to deal with himself and his environment (as are we all).

Started playing this yesterday because a friend suggested it and I am very surprised. Honestly thought it'd be a lousy weird game to suppress the fetishes of some strange restricted group of people, but it turned out unexpectedly good so far. The dialogue doesn't feel half-assed, the female characters have interesting personalities and even the main character had some interesting introspection moments when he was in the hospital and some other times at school. Most of all, even though I haven't ended any routes yet, I can tell it plays very easily with the players emotions. I approve.

Right now I'm in the middle of Emi's route and I'm more pleased than I expected from her. Originally I wanted to go for Lilly first but before I knew ended up with Emi by accident.

Just finished the whole game at 100% and I would have to say Emi by far because of her cute expressions.

But my favorite end scene would have to be
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
getting drunk on the roof of the school with Kenji and falling to my death LOL
