I remember it contained a light-haired, mean seme who was the archery club senpai of a hark-haired, uke who "only saw the good in [the seme]." The seme was pretty much a violent grouch until near the end, when he saved the uke from being raped by the seme's next-door-neighbor. Other than those details, I remember that the uke had an older brother that was the seme's co-captain or something like that. Does this sound familiar to anybody?

It's similar, but that's not it. It's not as long as Rin! and the art style is a little more 90's-ish.

Is it Heart (SAKURANO Nayuna) then ? I haven't read much of it so I am not sure about the details but when you look among the yaoi with the archery tag seems to be the one that fits your description the most
