Yeaap..you read the title.

I've watched some J-dramas about Yakuza wives (the stereotypical ones with the tough attitude, tattoo on her back and wears a kimono). I would also like to read mangas related to Yakuza Mistresses..

Well, I'm interested if there's any manga about them.

The closest thing I could find are:
A chapter in Haunted House (The stereotypical kind)
The first vol. of Getbackers (the daughter being sold to the Yakuza and became his mistress)...
Haou Airen ..I know, lolz.
Yellow Hearts
Negai Kanae Tamae
Crying Freeman

I dont mind if it's hentai, yaoi and smut. If you're recommending yaoi, UKE with she-personalities are STRICTLY PROHIBITED *Sarcasms*

Is it still "wife" or "mistress" if it's yaoi, unless you are talking about side characters?

I am sure I have read a couple of yaoi where the guys' mothers/sisters are yakuza wives. Maybe someone else could help you with the titles as I don't remember.

That would be interesting. I never thought of that but yea, whatever counts as "Yakuza wife/mistress" as long as the characters left deep impressions on the reader... (Just like the side character The yakuza mistress on the first vol. of getbackers) =)

You could try Boku no Shiru Anata no Hanashi, a yakuza related yaoi. Though there's no wife or mistress.

Gokusen. Main chara is Yakuza's granddaughter, but the wives/mistresses of other Yakuza also appear somewhere in the story.

one of the main themes of Tokyo Crazy Paradise is similar to what you want : a triangle between two girls and the godfather (OK, they're all teenagers, but this could be ignored ); which one of these girls is a better wife for him? ... the fighting type girl or the motherly type girl ? ...

"or maybe both?" (which in the world of this manga is actually a solution : the fighting type would be a shadow wife ... a mistress?... )

anyway, it was one of the better plots in TCP ... (which I've finished recently; 8.5/10)

Arakure - shoujo about the granddaughter of a Yakuza boss.

Heart Strings - maybe? I'm not sure how smutty a yaoi it is.

Might not be the best for what you're looking for, but Ikoku Irokoi Romantan is quite fun...
And some titles by AKIRA Norikazu, though you'd probably not gonna like it=/

Yeah, Heart Strings is one of those. That's what I was afraid of.

Well not necessarily wife, but the lead is a yakuza daughter of a clan boss that likes her step-brother.

Gekkoh is pretty chill, has your smut, action, and quite the H content. Did I also mention wincest?

Read it, I loved it!

Hmhmhm... 'mistress' + 'yaoi' is pretty hard without getting into girlie characters.

I'd recommend Kizuna which focuses on two sons of a yakuza boss as well as their partners. It's a classic. Try to get over the horrible art in the first 1-3 volumes. This manga runs since the early 90ies and the art has greatly improved over the years.

Hm... what was the title of the yaoi with the two rivaling gangs again?

*think*

Ah! It's 1999 Shanghai. Not exactly yakuza but two mafia-like gangs in Shanghai. One of the leaders has a pretty strong girlfriend (which is also the vice boss) and she plays a memorable role in the later story. Also, don't get fooled by the cover since it contains some really gorgeous scenes.

Other than that, you may like Ash and Diamond which doesn't contain a yakuza wife (but her little daughter, the mother is referenced to in flashbacks if I remember correct) but plays in the milieu and features her son (?? uhh, it's been a while, not sure anymore). This one has a lot of violent scenes, though.

All three are free of (too) feminine male protagonists. It's in the nature of those older series that they tend to be a little stereotypical in terms of the uke/seme topic but these three are really nice examples that yaoi can be completely free of she-males.
