Not proud of it, but I'm always too lazy to do it and whenever I floss my teeth it takes ages, because I'm not good at it... so it makes me want to do it even less.
While the poll 6 years ago slightly different choices, it seems like the group 18-21 6 years ago is still the most numerous (or the ones that vote the most.) They are now the 24-27 group. Didn't realize how many people voted on these polls 6 years ago vs how many do now. It's a big difference.

I should have also broken up the 30s into 3 sections.
Rarely but not that rarely. We are lacking choices.

Huh, most of the users did age up. To those who have stuck with this site for a long time, I sincerely bow down to you with respect.
As for the current poll, I mean, the dance was pretty cringy (come at me).
I chose Every few days. Having a first impression on someone where my teeth were not pearly white could give me nightmares. And it's important to keep them healthy! 😁

Twice a day before I brush my teeth because I discovered disposable floss-handles where you have something like a tooth-brush, but the end is a replaceable pair of prongs with a bit of floss between them, like a tightly wound slingshot. It makes it soooo easy and doesn't get caught in your teeth.

Please floss!! However, the urgency depends on your genetic predisposition to getting cavities. I know people who never floss and have no teeth problems at all.
My genes are awful and I got several in-between teeth cavities from not flossing regularly after about 5 years. As a child I flossed daily because I was forced to, as a teen/young adult I rarely did and that was a mistake... I now floss daily.

Yeah it's interesting to me that the site's user base is aging so clearly. I know teen weebs still exist, so what's happening to them? Are they sticking to anime because anime production values are higher nowadays (even though they still butcher the manga they're based on)? As for me, I'm still in the age group just above the plurality (29, was 23 for the old poll).
As for the new poll, I'm in the "brushes, does not floss" group.

I think there may be something to be said about younger people valuing aesthetics over functionality in general. I love this website and I don't think anything comes close in terms of the amount of information available which is why I've been a user since I was in my early teens but it may not have the aesthetic appeal of newer websites. The youth of today may be more hesitant to start using this website due its look.

I brush my teeth, I use mouthwash, but flossing has never agreed with me. Maybe it's just because I'm not doing it properly, but any time I try to floss, I never know how to do it so my gums end up bleeding. Thus, my mouth hurts for the rest of the day.
This is why I've honestly never felt like flossing has provided me with any kind of health benefits...
If I flossed daily, I would be keeping open, bleeding wounds on my gums. How can that be healthy?
I'll stick with mouthwash to get in-between. It works well enough.

Just my two cents: I think the advancement of manga readers is the issue - most of these sites have now list functions, do they not?
And personally I joined this site for the listing function, to keep an eye on what I read, which wasn't really a thing yet when I was a teen. So if you combine both keeping track and reading, you don't need another site or account, do you?

I try to floss everyday. Sometimes I will skip a day when lazy but in a week I floss at least 6 times.
Some advice: Flossing is super important, just like brushing. When gums are angry, they will bleed everyday so you floss more and eventually it'll bleed less. For mouthwash, use alcohol-free anticavity mouthwash like ACT. 🙂
