Well to start off I never post on the forums here so I ask ever so kindly of yee board members to not smote me with a fairly large trout if this has ever been suggested and are sick and tired of hearing about it. So for now I shall begin my simple suggestion.

I have been using this site for years to search for and keep track of current mangas I am reading it helps quite a bit when I can no longer remember them all, however I often find it hard to find something new I have not read before. Therefore I like to look through the update page and search for something new. I do this usually by looking through all the titles on the new updates page. Now unfortunately for my memory Japanese words tend to go in one ear and out the other. This makes it quite frustrating when finding new mangas to read. Do to the fact that I keep accidentally checking out the same link repeatedly.

However I believe I may have a solution for myself and others if they do exist out there. It is a simple Idea I believe quite possible with the current system on the site and that is to have a new category on how to categorize the completion of a manga instead of just having lists of only how much of the manga has been read how about a "Not interested" Category as well maybe using another icon such as an X or something similar. This would be to signify no interest in the manga so as to make searching easier as the manga would clearly display as something you knowingly are not interested in. By doing this it would make searching the site by all known means easier since you can skip checking out the ones you knowingly are not interested in.

For example I myself am not personally interested in "Hourou Musuko" (Sorry its just a little too odd for my tastes.) However I keep accidentally clicking on it do to its frequent releases. This is fairly annoying for myself and serves as a good example of what I am talking about.

Well if you have read this far I am impressed so please let me know if you like this idea or not. cool

Well, after reading it all, this is basically a suggestion to blacklist titles

Also, the unfinished list should've fulfilled this function yet strangely, the icon doesn't work

Similar to the post you linked however a fair bit different as this is quite a bit easier to implement. Also I'm not really suggesting removing the results entirely I merely wish to better categorize what you see

Also I am familiar with the unfinished option I used to use this but I actually did use it as it was most likely meant to be used for to categorize mangas that were completed but I had not finished reading them.

Eh? Perhaps I misunderstand... but it seems like a blacklist is precisely what you are asking for... I mean, I was having the same problem, clicking over and over on stuff I knew I didn't want to read cause it was impossible for me to remember them all, and the solution was to make a blacklist (a custom list) for myself. (Plus, now everything on this list is marked with the unfinished icon (blue circle) so I can distinguish it from my other custom lists, and I can also exclude all the items on the list with the new advanced search list filter option.)
So, could you maybe elaborate a bit more?

Yeah, about that... I mentioned it over here; apparently, not having it show up is intentional. I asked why, but never got an answer. So it's a mystery...
However, the unfinished icon for custom lists of the unfinished type does show up on the releases page.

Really? That's odd... I've always thought the unfinished list was for series that one started reading but didn't really like, so one never finished them--a "dropped" list, if you will. Oh well, doesn't really matter, I guess.
That's one messed up run-on sentence you wrote there, by the way...
