It' like Wii on steroids. Check out the vids.

Thoughts? Comments?

I'm still not sure if I think it's awesome or freaky. Nor can I believe just yet that it will actually work without any complications.

it won't work for driving games, and shooting games are going to be a pain

It's saddening... they are all scrambling to fill in this motion sensing aspect of video games. But like the Wii, once you get past the novelty, there isn't much substance in the games employing motion sensing... it's more of a quirk than a selling point (though quirks can be selling points)

It's only a quirk if you can't implement it properly, which is the reason why most of these games still suck. Although with the wii there's the add-on device that'll make the motion sensing more accurate, so instead of flailing around aimlessly we can hope to see proper flailing soon. Though most of the fault lies with the developers, since they decide not to spend time on implementing good controls schemes and code appropriately and that's why we have these crap gimmick games all over the place. roll eyes

On topic, this new concept for the xbox series is idiotic, just give us full immersion caps/goggles or 3D holo projections if you want to be cool. Waving your hand around is even worse than waving a remote in your hand. People buy accessories because it gives them the sense of actually driving with a steering wheel in their hands, not because they want to hold their hands up in the air pretending they're holding a steering wheel to play a game. roll

Whats the point of having advanced motion sensing if there are no good games for the system?(WII, so disappointed)

I like my Wii. maybe I just enjoy flailing my hands around laugh And while it does have a really 'kid oriented' feeling that I dislike, including many of the games, I still find plenty of games that suit my taste.

As for the new Xbox, I'll give it time; probably read the reviews after it comes out and decide from there. After all, I really love my 360.

well the only genre I see this might be useable in are the fighting genres... given that alot of x-box games are fps I'm not so sure this will work out nut time will tell...

Well, I guess that I will be the optimist if everything shown on the E3 trailer this is going to be the most innovative thing on the market. I mean if you seen Milo which was created by Peter Molyneux this will shorten the gap between reality and virtual. I mean you can actually hold a proxy gun and be able to shoot a gun. I believe that if done this technology can be used for hardcore play or for casuals. But, I believe what Sony reviled at their press conference it will kick the shit out of Wii and 360 mainly because Sony doesn't give a damn what other people say about thei work. You don't see any wimpy crap for 10 years old on PS3 no you see games for the hardcore and for men so in conclusion Natal could be good but, what Sony relieved (Don;t know the title) might be way better and pulled off better than the Wii.

Anything involving Microsoft is bound to ebb
into a cesspool of ire and defected software,
duffer hardware and vile firmware.

Very true but, I'll remain optimistic.

Honestly as bad of as the 360 is with anything whatsoever(My friend put his on HDTV and it died) and has tons of issues with compatibility, even with it's own updates ( The new dashboard killed my 360 GPU, and the intercooler killed it before too) mad It's very unlikely they will be able to implement this at all on the 360. I guess the next gen systems will be coming out soon.

And honestly, if Sony had something like this, they would do it right. And it would work. Because the PS3 is a beast compared to the other systems.

Well the PS3 has basically a Wii mote but, you can use two to use a bow so basically it is just a better version.

Many so called, hardcore gamers think the Wii is gimmicky and dumb, and yet Nintendo sells truckloads thanks to it's appeal towards casual gamers, chicks, party people, and in Japan's case, the elderly. I can see why Microcrap wants to jump on this motion sensing bandwagon, but I'm not sure if the "hardcore gamer" image it's console currently carries will actually attract new buyers.

It's an interesting concept, but it'll be the games that tell the story in the end. I don't really see the first person shooter crowd (biggest group of Xbox 360 gamers) falling for it. Honestly, most serious gamers would just rather sit in their same old lazyboy position on the couch with the controller on their crotch, so asking them to stand up and wiggle around for a marathon session of Hola or whatever would be pushing your luck.

The 360 Natal it's not for "hardcore" games, it's more casual stuf and as said in the Sony show, in some games you have to hold something or it won't feel right, for the Sony project, I don't think that it will be much more diferent then Wii Motion Pluss, so when it comes to motion sensoring I think that Nintendo's it's the best, although when it's about game controller I still prefer the DualShock design
