What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

I'm looking for any manga, anime, visual novel, etc in which it is unclear whether the main character is in touch with reality.


A good example is "The OA" TV series, or if Natsume in Natsume Yuujinchou had been diagnosed with schizophrenia but the rest of the story left relatively unchanged.
