I do not really see any reason to stop Soul. Maka did earn the soul. However, it does seem odd that the chapter just ended like that...so there has to be something to it.

I hope it is. That'd be really great, wanna see Soul as the Death Scythe.
And the chapter's good. I was getting tired of previous arc.
