Not everything is available to read online so I went with I read and delete but most of my scan reading is done through viewers.

I did before, but not anymore. Now I only save screenshots of panels or scenes I like.

Back when all of the online readers were only single-page, I would always download chapters and read in two-page format, as that's how I prefer to read, as it sometimes reflects the author's intent, and makes two-page spreads stand out better.
I still have these downloaded scanlations on my HDD, and they take up a small enough amount of disk space that they'll likely remain there for quite a while. However, I've now moved on to reading everything online, almost exclusively on MangaDex, mostly because of their reader, which has an excellent two-page reading mode.
I feel like a side effect of this is that I've actually started to read more scanlations, since it's so much faster to just click on a chapter and start reading right away as the chapter is loading, instead of waiting for a chapter or an entire series to download.

My reading habits have largely remained unchanged, in that I tend to archive only series I really enjoy while reading everything else online. I have been archiving less and less, though, but that's less a result of readers and more a result of more and more manga being officially published in English. I delete my archives once I get a hold of the official volumes, since I find it vastly preferable to read in dead-tree format than on a computer. And since most of the manga I really enjoy have been getting licensed, I haven't felt as much of a need to archive as I used to.

I tend to read on my phone, so I read on legal apps. What's not on them is downloaded. I usually keep those mangas if I like them and delete everything else. I believe I'll read them again in the future, but that only happens with the volumes I've purchased physically.

Yes, everything. By which I mean everything I'd rate 5/10 or above. Anything below that gets read and deleted. Either way, I pretty much always DL my scanlations (and anime). I mean, what are external HD's for if not that? XD Plus, where I live internet is pretty expensive, so it's far cheaper to DL than to use reader sites (and tenfold so for anime streaming as opposed to downloading), since you detract from your monthly quota each time you visit, and for HQ sites like MD that means a hell of a lot of data used up per series.

I was wondering what you mean by "archiving". But it seems it means saving what I read online to read it offline again?
If it was like that, I used to, but not anymore. So I think I'll choose yes, but only a few. I save scanlations only when there are my favorite scenes, just for reminder. (I archive the title that I read in Mangaupdates though, so I can remember what I've read, what I've dropped, what I currently read, and what I put on hold)
Recently I use Line Webtoon, Kakaopage, and Shuheisha Plus to read manga and manhwa. Those apps don't give permission for any screenshot or saving pictures. In Line Webtoon, only some title can be saved.

I did but not anymore because my 1 TB harddisk which is full of manga is dead, and after then it I have no eagerness about it.

Yes, everything …except I don't really, at the moment, due to certain computer issues.
Once those are fixed, I'll go back to downloading everything.
(I was a bit confused by the choice of word, of "archive" …which I find rather wrong and weird, to describe this)
The same holds true for anime, of course.
…and, naturally, the goal is to get physical copies, eventually, as my budget permits. (note: I refuse to pay for digital "copies", or reading/streaming online)
Oh, and naturally "everything" only includes everything good.
I don't keep crap (unless there is some special reason, to keep a particular chapter/manga), but that goes without saying, surely?

There should be an option for when you have stopped archiving and read only.

I'm quite the collector. I will usually keep a copy of the scans I read because I love to reread a good series. That said, I prefer to purchase a physical licensed copy of any good title I come across if its available. I want to support the industry, but I also just really want to read a lot of manga.
