You may already know about us and think that we are just a car/racing manga team (because we translated Initial D, Wangan Midnight and Over Rev!) but that is not the case anymore! we are dropping Initial D and Wangan Midnight after we release what we have been working on for those mangas, and Over Rev! is likely to be dropped as well.

The direction Wangan Scans is now heading in is into the more "mainstream" mangas that are more fun and enjoyable to read (and work on).

What I need to achieve this is "new move" is more staff (in this order of priority) -

1.) TRANSLATORS - Your job is to errrrr... translate (Japanese or Chinese to English).

2.) Translation Checkers - This job is for people that can translate Japanese or Chinese but either don't have the time to translate or just don't want to translate. This job involves checking a translation that one of the Wangan Scans translators has done for any mistakes or untranslated text, if you find any mistakes or untranslated text you have to fix it.

3.) Cleaners - Your job is to remove all the text from the bubbles, remove any dust/imperfections from the pages, adjust the levels of the pages, and to crop (if necessary) and resize the pages.

4.) Editors - Your job is to join double pages and do any redrawing that needs to be done.

5.) Typesetters - Your job is to copy and paste the English text (from the translation files that you will be sent) into the bubbles and onto the page, you will have to use certain fonts and sometimes be a bit creative.

6.) Proofreaders - Your job is to check the spelling, punctuation and grammar of the English translations before a chapter has been typeset, and then check the chapter after it has been typeset (it is easier to spot mistakes in a typeset chapter).

I would prefer to hire proofreaders who meet these requirements -
A.) English is your main language (I would also prefer that you come from an English speaking country)
B.) You have to at least be a college student or college graduate (or you must get excellent grades in your high school English exams/tests).

7.) Website and forum designers/coders - Your job is to create a stylish website and forum (I would like phpbb to be used for the forum) using free online hosts (I have some free online hosts in mind so ask me for them)

There's a high probability that I wont be able to find raws for most of the mangas in our list, so I am prepared to buy raws but I'll need a 100% guarantee from a translator that they will finish translating any volumes that I buy, I'm not interested in wasting money.

It's great that you want to join the team, but I should warn you that at the moment there is nothing for proofreaders to do.

The team needs translators, if there's no translations there's no work for anyone to do.

Um... we're still doing Oniichan & Ruumu...we're just stocking up chapters... that's why there have been no releases...

If you guys are planning to continue those projects then I'm happy to remove them from our possible project list.

I have a quite a few translations for some of the mangas in our possible projects list and I want to get them scanlated quickly, which is why I'm now looking for skilled people to do some fast work, I need -

Translation Checkers (I need Chinese translation checkers that are very good at translating Chinese into English)

Skilled Cleaners

Very skilled editors (people that are great at redrawing pictures)
