I've seen a few stories out there where a guy who's a loser and otaku winds up meeting a girl who struggles to teach and help him to figure out how to dress and act so he can become one of the in-crowd. That's all fine and good, but I was wondering if there was anything that changed it up and maybe had it centered around two guys who gradually develop friendship along the way rather than a guy and girl who develop friendship and eventually love. Like, maybe the loser/otaku says something about popularity that gets on the guy's nerves, maybe something about popular people having it easy or something, and he decides to make the loser into someone on his level and becomes friends along the way.
