Is the question meant as „would you want to“ or „is it possible for you to“.

Because if it‘s the second one, ALL of you voting „No“ are lying, lmao. You all are part of hive minds one way or another. Only people with no self-reflection would answer „No“ on this question. Which, apparently, are 81,9% as of now.

Probably, it would be the only way for true world peace to happen.

Right now? No.
When I see my impending death, like Mary Sperling in Methuselah's Children? Absolutely, considering the alternative...

Give me death any day over a legit sci-fi hive mind.

I've voted "No" because all the literature related to AI I've read comes to my mind and resembles a dead-end. I can't read "hive mind" without seeing how technology is "progressing." It seems that humanity is getting closer to the end of free will.

We are actually already a part of collective consciousness, aren't we? We feel angry when we see rapist roam free or when injustice happen, for example. We live and work in a plural society, for example.

However, at the same time, I don't want to lose my individuality. I still wanted and needed a private space, one space that society (that belongs in a public space) shouldn't intrude.

It's hard to answer this question with a yes or no.

I would total fall into the pit of the collective mob mindset. I have no individuality or rebellion so... Would total be suspected to that xD I think the only reason why I'm not a cult member (RL example of the collect hive) of some kind is cause I don't go outside nor do I explore the interwebs.....

I don't need confirmation that other people are dumb

Lemon Ice, how on earth are you reading the question so poorly?

"Would you" in hypotheticals like this literally only ever means "If the option presented itself, would you choose to do this?"

Like... what the fuck, how can you be so arrogant about something you're just being a moron over....

Anyway, I picked no, the average person is incomprehensibly dumb (like mr. lemon ice over here), so I prefer thinking for myself. If I thought the average person was reasonable I might reconsider.

HikaruYami, you write „how can you be so arrogant“ and then immediately write „the average person is dumb“ (that‘s not how statistics works….).

Can you see the irony?

I didn't say "the average person is below average", I said "the average person is dumb". It's not a question of statistics, it's a question of standards. For me to consider someone even remotely intelligent, they need to be reasonably far above average, otherwise they can't really be trusted with even the bare minimum capacity to take care of themselves in modern times.

Scams are so prevalent on the internet because they *work*. On dumb people.
