Something to do with a girl persisting over a guy who has no complete interest in the protagonist. And after seeing how serious she is about him he starts to be compassionate. Something along those lines, smile danks!

Itazura na Kiss, although I should warn you it takes a long time for him to start acting compassionate towards her, and also it's permanently unfinished due to the sudden death of the mangaka.

Yeah I heard about that. In this case you could just watch the anime. It has a ending that makes it feel very complete. I felt satisfied with it. I never read the manga and never will because of it being unfinished.
