This is old news. First of all it was so/so sure it was popular but it lacked the magic of miyazi senior. It seems that the father still has much to teach the son(miyazaki was against his son doing this btw). In the words of the great echizen ryoma "mada mada dane" lol. 😛 Well the new ghibli hits theatres in 2008 and it's in watercolour painting style. Should be awesome imo cause miyazkai senior wants to prove that he's nowhere near retirement and will probably never retire. Can't wait man you are the only real life person I admire so greatly. 😛

Yes I already said it was so~so. Meaning it wasn't as good as most of the other ghibli masterpieces imo. Mada mada dane. It was a good anime mind you very good, but not as good as the other great ghiblis. You get what I mean right? 😛 Yeah if i'm bored I lurk the old threads too. Wierd no?

i even subscribed to some of them old threads without replying that is. specially some of ares6 thread starters or enders are really nice.

though i now have this wondering feeling why there is not a litter box around. this is called chatterbox. but then you see like huge amount of senseless brabbling being closed down.

Premierred here in Moscow back in April. Absolutely nothing special. Miyazaki-junior has still got lots to learn. That's why it isn't something to look forward to.

What is worth waiting is Hayao Miyazaki's next movie. The old man can't disappoint.

No no I didn't discourage you from watching it I just was saying for those who know miyazaki's work and studio ghibli it isn't as good as most of their other works imo. It's still better than plenty of anime movies so you should still see it if you can. Also I'd watch all of studio ghibli's works that includes takahata's movies and some of the other films not from the big two directors. Like whisper of the heart.

Outside of ghibli: I thought brave story was good though a little bit weak on the plot side but not much. Tokyo godfathers is a must see from the director of millenium actress. Also perfect blue(old and it has a fake rape scene 😲 ) but it's good suspense. Then you have your basics like ghost in the shell 1&2 Cowboy bebop the movie, akira, etc.

Yeah it was more fun around here back then not as active but it seems like the people were um i don't know..... won't say it not in the mood for a flaming. 😛
Oh and mada mada dane means you still have a long way to go (or something like that it's from prince of tennis)
