Basically i read one or 2 chapters of a manga during the summer and i've now forgotten the name of it, because i neglected to put it on my lists... anyhow from what i remember a guy got accepted into a magic academy and they get judged on what they are likely to become career-wise and he gets Mahou/demon lord or something. Any help would be appreciated.

Umm.. Kyou kara Ma no Tsuku Jiyuugyou! maybe? I've only watched random eps of the anime, but it sounds similar..
If it's not, you should give it a try :] it's pretty good.
