this is probably the biggest load of bs I've heard of...
that man has the right to be naked in his own home, c'mon it's his house.
and somebody should slap that lady for being a peeping tom and an idiot. yeah, the boy was so scarred from seeing a naked man *sarcastic*
the kid probably thought "One day I'll be that big"

Perhaps one the reasons charges are not being dropped, like I thought it would the first time I heard this story. It's an utterly ridiculous charge if he was truly doing nothing, making coffee and oblivious to the fact that he was seen/being watched.

Liria brings up a good point. His roommates claimed that they believed he was drunk when they left at 5am. Alcohol impairs a person's decision making, and the claim was that he exposed himself twice; through the glass door and then through the window (although, I don't know whether this is while he was aware or not).

I still don't know what to believe, but I'm partial to the accused's story.

If anything, that woman should be arrested for being a peeping tom...

Or a peeping beth?
Wat would you call a female peeper anyways?

I believe it's Peeping Tina.

The whole thing is ridiculous and a waste of everyone's time and energy. She shouldn't have been looking at/in his house to begin with.

Thanks for the visual.

Anyways, I wonder which ambulance chaser it will be that defends and counter sues.

But, I find it funny that he went strait to the police rather than the person responsible for this mess. As he stated that he would be filing charges against the police with no mention of the woman/mother/wife of the police officer.

I don't. He can probably get more out of the department than he can out of the individuals.

Do I think the kid was scarred? No.
Do I think there could be a potential issue since the house is in front of a school bus-stop? Yes.

Don't get me wrong - I come down in his favor also. While I don't think that his rights in his own home should be in question, having children potentially unsupervised and watching across the street is an issue he should be aware of. However, he should've been given a warning so that he could get the house fixed (no glass door, or whatever) instead of arrested.

I happen to know someone who is a nudist and wanders his home in the nude all the time. He also has solid doors, no bay windows where someone can peep in, and a large sign on his front door that says "If you are offended by nudity, then don't ring the doorbell."

I myself use the army crawl method to get to the blinds.

I feel bad for the guy, such an invasion of his privacy. But to be honest, I wouldn't go anywhere near hot coffee naked. So much damage could be done...

Alright, in the woman's defense, it was 5:30 in the morning. If blinds were up and the light was on, he'd be hard to miss. And in a situation like that, it might be hard to misconstrue intentions.
However, in America, there's a principle of "innocent until proven guilty" that the police obviously forgot. And if he really wanted to show himself, is there really going to be that much of an audience at that time of day? So, in the end, the ones most at fault are the police and they are the ones he should be suing if he has the need to make someone pay.

I didn't say that I didn't understand why he was doing it...
I just found it funny.

You're joking right? The fact that she was cutting through his lawn at 5:30 in the morning can't be used in her defense in any way.

Obviously if you go on someone's lawn when it's dark, the house's blinds just happen to be open, and a sleepy naked man who just wants some coffee flips on the lights in his own kitchen he would be seen from outside.

Completely ridiculous. I haven't been this pissed off for a long time. How is this situation even debatable? The woman is obviously an idiot with twisted morals, and a criminal to boot. Those police officers are probably not cut out for their jobs if they cannot see that.

The man was alone in his house. This pretty much clears any possible suspicion the dumbasses in that police department might have of him being an exhibitionist or some sort of sexual deviant who exposes himself to his child. He doesn't even appear to have any criminal record (if he did the media would be all over it like flies to shit).

What is wrong with this world?

You obviously are not very familiar with the law.
Even so, it should be common sense to you that peeking is the crime.

...5 fcuking 30 in the morning, in his own house... jesus...

I'm sorry, but where did you read that the woman or boy were "cutting through his lawn" anywhere? I haven't seen that written in any of the stories I've looked at. She could have been walking on the street, which is public domain.

If that is a fact, then yes, I agree with your point. But I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere.

Yes, the problem there is that supposably she is a wife of one of the officers... and therefore (I'm guessing here because it might not be true) the child in question is the son of a cop. It's one of those, "how dare you do that to one of us," kind of things probably. Also, we've corruption in our police departments, as does any other country most likely; however, that's a topic for a different thread.

Lots

@Liria: One of the articles I read said that the child (and maybe the mother as well) were walking through his yard.

Got it...
