I've been a vegetarian for more than 3 years, why? I HATE MEAT, I HATE SEEING ANIMAL KILLED
I'm not trying to be a hypocrite,it's just that there's less 1 person eats meat, there's less animal is slaughtered
The negative thing is people who become vegetarian usually for healthy reasons but everything 'bout me is unhealthy.I'm kinda a junkfood freak who can eat cakes for regular meals >.<

i believe saying one diet is unnatural while the other is, is as bad as saying any sexual orientation is unnatural.

Again you didn't make any proper argument, just announced your baseless opinion. That kind of relativism is a religion, really. Besides your statement is prejudicial and therefore also hypocritical. My cousin whom I love very much is quite like you in that aspect.

Then shut your eyes. Based on what you say one might think that's exactly how you get by, or else you're just plain naïve (which is more likely). I'm not judging your reason you tell for being a vegetarian as it's just as valid as any. But the real reason you're a vegetarian is because you've lost the touch of reality, in a way (most people have). Either that or you're just obsessed about animals to the point of madness (which is unlikely). Anyway, that's not a very significant concern in relation to other concerns, so just continue to kill the poor innocent plants you inconsiderate prick.

I've been a pescatarian for years now. I never used to eat much meat anyway, but it slowly got to the point where i couldn't stand eating it. Also finding out that my favorite gummy sweets contained pork gelatin (ground up bones ect.) I also work in a farm kitchen so it doesn't help constantly seeing sheep and piglets.

But i don't hate meat eaters; its everyone's own choice. Besides, we've always hunted animals for meat and fur.

Is it? I kinda always do thing on my own pace, but i respect what other people think as well.
What's wrong if i just don't want to kill animals? What i do is my own business right? I don't mean to force my way of thinking on anyone, so you don't have to be offended to it.Will you stop eating meats if i tell you not to? If you will, i'll spare your poor innocent plants, deal? cool

And what is your brilliant opinion that is not baseless? the usual we have been eating meat all trough history and what? we certanly cant change yea Im with you, evolving our sense of empathy and sympathy is fucking stupid right? And when it comes to things we have always done its all good right? Man what if people would stop murdering, raping and raging war? shit the world would suck so bad. Or is it the even more brilliant, people cant live without meat? I guess im a bigtime motha fn zombie then 17 years without meat IT CANT BE DONE; I MUST BE CRAZY. PLEASE ... let me hear your properly based oppinion. Also please tell me why people are so fucking thretened by a choice to have as little as possible to do with a industry (most people who got a little insight in would find despicable) If you could .Reading this stupid thread its quite obvious who is trying to change who and wich side is more laid back. I dont give a fuck what you eat I sleep well at night knowing i do the best i can to live by my ideals. And also lets say it like it is you eat meat cause you like it or are plain lazy dont pretend its an actuall lifechoice with thought to it, its okay to admit.

Znd Comparing animals to plant is as fucking dumb as comparing a pig to a human, or actually even dumber sense both pigs and humans are animals. Get your head examined as soon as possible for your own good!

At the moment I am a omnivore (aka I eat whatever, whenever). I hate how animals are some times treated, but in my country, it is very easy to get the "right type" of meat (aka animal that have never been mistreated). I don't not eat meat because it's easier right now, with how my life is and how my family is (I still live at home). But in the future I'd have no problem giving up meat. When ever I'm home alone for long periods of time (aka more than 48 hours) I normally eat only salads. I don't like buying meat... but have no problem eating it. And when I'm at a restaurant I order whatever I think sounds best, either that has meat in it or not.

Vegetarian for as long as I can remember.
I don't think that all omnivores should convert, I'm not trying to convert anyone.
I'm just against cruel treatment of animals.
Plus, eating meat freaks me out.
I don't know why.
It just does.
xD

I have nothing against either side, but your comment does not display sound judgment. If there's one less person eating meat then the world would be better off? Have you given thought to survival of the fittest? If all humans stop eating animals and eventually the animals will eat us off, because only the strong survives. That is not to say I condone massively killing animals, but please be realistic. Moreover, instead of focusing on animals getting slaughtered, why not apply the same thinking to humans? Say that if one less person becomes a murder, then wouldn't there be one more person alive? And after all, aren't we humans also animals?
Regardless of what you may have in defense, your thinking is flawed.

"I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals. I'm a vegetarian because I hate plants." (Har har.)

I'm technically a Pescetarian. I added fish to my diet because my parent was concerned that I wasn't getting proper nutrition. Meat tastes pretty bland to me though, so I hardly ever eat it. I originally became a vegetarian when I was a kid because my sister guilt tripped me into it. Now she eats anything and everything and I stuck with this diet for my own reasons.

In response to whoever it was that said they could never be a vegetarian because they don't like vegetables: You're forgetting that you can also eat grains and non-meat proteins. So, you wouldn't have to give up pasta or ice cream or soup or pancakes or burritos, etc. Vegetarianism isn't near as restrictive as people imagine it to be.

a strict vegans won't eat eggs. so no ice cream and pancakes

I think you're right. eve though i go either way, i dont think my diet will change much by not eating meat. it's like not eating spaghetti anymore. one less dish in ur life. not a big deal

The more vegetarian, the less meats consumed isn't it? Do you know that Buddhist vegetarianism main purpose is telling human restrain from killing /commit crimes? well,i'm catholic but i think what it teaches is right
I have nothing against people who eat meats,so please stop bashing me if i don't
You and others might think i'm naive or whatever,I just want to stay away from killing animals by not eating meat, am i allowed to do that? roll eyes

I thought that buddhist and hindu (if dedicated enough) don't eat meat because they believe in reincarnation. essentially, a cow, pig, chicken and human have same soul. so the cow you're eating might have been human before. and yah, killing'd bad too.
