What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)

Try Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna

It's a pretty good detective type of manga with huge twists. biggrin

Banana Fish is a great crime manga. It's pretty old but deals with the gangs of New York. smile You can also try FAKE if you like yaoi.

Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo, Q.E.D., and Tantei Gakuen Q are all mystery/detective manga.

Soil. Beware though, its rather offbeat and out-there. And the art is not to everyone's liking.
Also; Benkei In New York, and Hotel Harbour View.
