yeah but if you could only read one manga it has to be a really REALLY long series, but most people get bored after a while of manga like that. take naruto for example

Yeah, it has a bit of everything... And actually, it had very wierd impact on me, I didn't read anything for two weeks after reading it, so it may be a good choice.

But maybe I would not recommend anything at all, or something really bad, so they don't become interested in manga at all.

Shounen Jump is not a manga. It is a magazine in which manga are serialized. Therefore, it really doesn't count. Though I am sure someone would really love to read the approximate 2000+ issues of Weekly Jump!


One Piece or Major.

i'd choose between Piano no Mori, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, Adventure Boys & Koukou Debut, but i'm not really sure on which one choose, they all are so great.

if i could read one manga it would totally b skip beat! i love it! im only on chp. 50. && not sure of the possibilities reading further. it's not bcuz the manga sucks or anything..i mean. i jst said it would b the manga i would read if i could only read one! but....i hav problems downloading. so arghhh!

The first manga I read was Angel Sanctuary. Kaori Yuki's artwork is breathtakingly gorgeous.
But I'd recommend Nana by Ai Yazawa. It's totally now and mostly fun. That "someone's " reading for the first time so they need a plot that they can easily grasp and understand. NANA will make them addicted in no time

If that unfortunate person was bound by some law or other thing that limits him or her to one manga series their entire lifetime, then it would have to be one piece simply because it's long (45+ volumes) and still ongoing. It's longevity would prevent that person from having to read the same thing over and over again. If this was to get them hooked into the manga world though, then my top choices would have to be either Love Hina, Rurouni Kenshin, or Great Teacher Onizuka, depending on the personality of that person.

I would tell him not to read any manga.
because if he doesn'T know mangas he doesn't know what hes missing.
But if I told him to read Bleach or FMA or something, he would knew that there is something wonderful like mangas out there, and he would feel really misserable because hes the only one who isn't allowed to read them.

I would probably choose Vagabond, because I've never read it, I don't know what it's about but it's great and long. ^_^

Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna.

It's shonen, but the girls play just as big as a role as the guys do, too.

It's a detective manga (like Conan) but much shorter.

Also, Rurouni Kenshin or Kare Kano.

As for me I'd go with Claymore, I'm addicted to it at the moment.

i cant honestly name one becouse its so hard to try to compare 2(or more) great manga of different genre so this is the best i can do
