Anyone know of some great titles from the science fantasy genre?

To be precise, I'm looking for those titles that are shounen/ seinen (in other words, NO shoujo, josei, hentai, etc.).

Anyway, thanks. biggrin

Terra e... and Andromeda Stories are both classics, and great.
They're by an artist that primarily does shoujo, though.

Some more really great ones:
Pluto
2001 Ya Monogatari
20th Century Boys
Akira
Cyborg 009
Planetes

Some that are more distinctly science fantasy:
Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind <- Simply the best, of course.
Jabberwocky
Koukaku no Regios
Space Adventure Cobra
Blue Drop
Mugentou
Milk Closet

Hmmm... do you mean works combining both Sci-fi and Fantasy? Or works of fantasy from the Sci-fi genre? confused

And also, when you said "sci-fi", do you mean works with a strong and concrete basis in scientific theories? Because if not, there're tons and tons of works with ESP, aliens, special powers, conspiracy theories and whatever they call "sci-fi" like Samuziya Haruhi, though most of them have little to do with science at all. Basically, just "made up scientific theories" and stuff like that.

For Hard Sci-fi, I can suggest:

2001 nights
Planetes
Saber Tiger

The above titles are all hard sci-fi titles: no mecha, no aliens, no silly "scientific" theories, no ESP, etc.

Sci-fi with aliens and/or mecha:
Hoshi no Koe
Bokurano

Not the serious type of sci-fi(not very scientific/medium to very light touches of sci-fi):
Psycho Staff
Hoshi no Samidare

Present
Hotel
Ai-ren
Route 20
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou
Aqua and Aria
Standard Blue
Omoide Emanon
Ibara no Ou
Metropolis

Edit: VampireBanana recommended those already. x3
Anyway, here:
Hatsukanezumi no Jikan
The Music of Marie
Reset
Mother Sarah
Futatsu no Spica

Those are all sci-fi.

Koukaku no Regios (Novel) is the only one I remember with sci-fi/fantasy together. :/

I agree that 20th Century Boys, Planetes, and Pluto are a must biggrin

I'd also recommend:
ES
Eden
Endo Hiroki Tanpenshuu

Um... Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku? Oh, it's being scanlated too. Can't really think of any. Are there any? I want some too. Dragonball, Niji-iro Tougarashi, Spirit of Wonder (more like scifi or steampunk though). Now that I think of it, there's lots of shounen science fantasy manga (like Dragonball), but I'm not sure if that's what you want. I really like science fantasy, I wish there were more (seinen) manga of that genre...
