some of you might of seen it already, but for those who haven't, this is my most prized possession. An autographed The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi poster signed by Hirano Aya (Haruhi), Minori Chihara (Yuki), and Yuko Goto (Mikuru).

I never thought I'd say this for any anime merchandise, but: I'm jealous.

I moved and left most of my stuff behind in California in a storage shed sad
I haven't taken pictures of my manga collection for 2 years, so you'll have to deal with this outdated photo: http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/7725/bookshelfwholeer5.jpg
(for a close-up of the titles, see here: http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/4840/bookshelfsectionedlg8 .jpg).
My dad had built that bookshelf for me as a birthday present. Built specifically to hold manga. XD
Manga is life.
And the only picture I've got of my figure collection is this old measly one of my One Piece figures. It's outdated. Very outdated. http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/8224/collectionwe3.jpg
(I own more than just One Piece. it just takes up probably half of my collection. >.> I'm a sucker for it.)
Oh, I do have the One Piece pop-up book. If I can find batteries for my camera I'll charge it up and take a piccy of that. And my haruhi chibis and the new One Piece figures I buoght in the last 2 months after I moved to North Dakota (be afraid).

That poster gives me mixed feelings when I think 'bout that, but it would seem that I can't stop myself going off topic even in my head. o.o

Tell her she'd be helping you clean your room. She likes clean organized rooms right? biggrin Nod her head for her.

Ah, I wish that would work! But even then she wouldn't because my manga isn't like in the way or anything. Most of them are where a DVD player used to be, on my bed (it used to be a bunk bed, so it has a frame and that's what my manga is on, not the actual matress), and I do have a very kiddy shelf (bright rainbow-y colors) that I use, but it's not supposed to be for manga, it's plastic and...you can just tell...it's looks weird...
I totally intend on getting a bookshelf one day though (and hopefully soon)! >.< I even chose a spot for it already...I really don't get why she doesn't just buy me on already...I know where to get one that's doesn't cost very much and it's brand spankin new...grr mad ...

We have the opposite problem, my mom wants me to get a shelf so I can put my manga (and other books) there.

Why not buy it yourself, if it doesn't cost much and you really want one? smile

Because I know that -most likely- she'll eventually buy one for me smile
It looks like I'll just have to bug her about it twice as more roll eyes

When my dad built that bookshelf over 2 years ago I had over 500 raw....
I'm not sure how much it's grown since then dead. Over half of them are ins torage in California, unfortuantely. I've probably got around 700 now though... I go crazy in a Book-off and when I came back from Japan in 2001, I had 2 suitcases full of manga. >.> Freaking addicted.
(unfortunately, when you're trying to move to Canada in a VW Beetle and you have to take as little with you as possible... dead you end up forcing to leave the stuff you love in storage. T_T)
