i just want to get some ideas on what to do on the last 6 or 5 days of my long summer vacation <god.. im not even counting!> i mean it feels like the police are just waiting at the door and they prepared shackles, yeah, not handcuffs... its like school is eating away my youth!! as much as I need it and understand its worth to the society its just that... anyway... before this turns into a rant thread and gets locked by mr. mod or by the other mods...

i just want to know what you usually do on your "last days of freedom".. what you want to do.. any crazy experiences?? and also please leave drinking and sleeping with people out of it... not ot be offensive or anything... but hi! minor here!!!

anywaysss... if this is a repeat thread please be kind enough to lock it!! thanks in advance!! smile wink grin

I prepare for school lol. Since you need to get materials and look over summer assignments and things like that... But enjoy it by hanging out with your friends. I can't think of anything crazy that I would do... But shackles? Is school really that bad for you? bigrazz

I remember once we went to Disneyland for 2 days, staying at one of the hotels across the street. I'm sure any amusement park would be fun though (as long as you have funding...!). Sudden vacations are fun, anyways, in any form. Besides amusement parks, you could go to a hot springs, go camping, go on a boat, or even road trip to some random place. B) Take advantage of any opportunity to go somewhere new!

If you gotta stay local, try planning a day-trip with some friends. See whatever your town has to offer. If you live in a city, you of course get more opportunities than a rural area... I live in Vegas, so there's quite a bit to do around here, even if you aren't "of age". eyes

-take a train ticket and go sightseeing for one day in a nearby town;
-go hiking;
-learn how to make origami;
-write a poem xD;
-watch all seasons of South Park;
-learn how to play Belot if you don't already know. It may come in handy to pass time at school xD

In general I'd advice you not to stay at home much these last days since I personally always found it depressing. none

P.S. what's with no drinking? It's a good way to make your summer break memorable xD

On the last few days of my vacation, I am suddenly struck by this weird desire to spend as much time with my family as possible! laugh
I don't know why, but I become really nice to my sister (no matter how much I fought with her over the rest of the holidays, lol), and obey my parents with a level of meekness that makes them gape. (And I'm not even a rebellious girl ^^)
I don't really have any friends or anything (yep- you heard me bigrazz ) - Only have a few classmates with whom I hang out on school days. I don't see any of them over the vacation.

Oh- and let's not forget last-minute homework and assignment completions! I'm always in a mad rush to get done everything I put off while fooling around for a month...man- those last few days are stressful!

But on the very last day, what I do is sleep. ALONE. Why would I want to sleep with anyone when I can have the whole bed to myself? laugh I sleep from like 9.00 pm to noon the next day, until my mother comes in and threatens to soak me with water unless I get up biggrin

And then, for the rest of the day- I eat. Junk food of course. From MacDonalds or KFC or PizzaHut. My parents usually refuse to buy from places like that, but on this day, they let me eat anything I like...they know me all too well XD

So- there you go. Those are my weird end-of-hols habits!

What? You're holidays are over already?

I haven't even started mine! I've still got exams D:

I can't wait for my 2 months of freedom in 2 weeks time though, I've got lots planned~

Anyway, on the last week or so, I spend as much time as I can going out and hanging out with friends. Going out and having no worries of work constantly nagging you in the back of your mind is the best. (this only works if you've done all your homework though. I don't have this problem myself because I don't get summer homework anymore laugh Once my exams are done, that's it)

But yeah, when there's nice weather I make the most of. If the weather is rubbish, we usually go down the pub or something or to each other's houses etc.

Back in the day, I used to always leave my school preperations until the last day at the last hour. I was never prepared to waste valuable holiday time for school related stuff laugh

Well, being a minor didn't stop a lot of people from doing it XD

And afaik, only the USA is such a fascist when regarding "sleeping with people", it's not uncommon for the age of consent to be under 18, in my country for instance it's 14, I find that a tad absurd to be honest, I believe 16 is a nice number.

As for suggestions, dunno, something like a roadtrip to the beach?

what i do on my last days of vacation: trying to get some rest. problem: there are hardly any "last days of vacation" i could use to rest.

you take a break. either you do nothing the first half and the second is so full that you're wasted by the end of it or you're doing stuff the whole time and are wasted aswell.

but i'm out of school .. so different story

though .. seriously. try to get some rest, acclimate yourself to your schedule (sleeping till noon every day of your break and then having to wake up 4 am kills me. regularly) and you should be good to go

The first thing that came in my mind when I read the title was skinny dipping...lol, dunno why, I've never done it~

Roadtrip? I remain depressed the last week of vacation, because of thinking of going back to school... >_<

Age of consent...in the country I live in, 8 year old girls get married. *coughSaudicough*

Junk food is a must! Lazing around, watching TV and eating junk food...=D

Grade 12 for me felt like prison so I can kind of understand how you feel. On the last couple of days before school I'd go outside and enjoy the last days of freedom. So basically:

- go on a hike (walk, stroll, whatever, just somewhere that you want to explore)
- go swimming
- or go and enjoy being on the computer without having to worry about assignments/homework.

It gets a lot better in University/college. There is so much more freedom to do whatever you want to do.

Unless you're freaking lazy like me which leads to the habit of flunking courses...
