I'm looking for a website that keeps track of scanlator releases, lists manga by most recently updated and if possible has some means of aquiring the manga(by linking to the scanlator site, download mirror etc).

What I'm looking for basically is a means to find recent chapter releases or newly released manga.

Most online readers do something like this, however a lot of them are "going out of business" =/

To get the chapter, simply go to the scanlator site listed on MU and from there you'll find either a download link or directions to their IRC channel for the release.

oops.. I had no idea this site had that feature. Though after looking at it, it seems that it might show most recent releases regardless of whether or not the chapter being released by the scanlators has been released before by another group.

While this is still useful as is, it'd be great if they could make 2 boxes. One for new releases of never before released chapters, and one for previously released chapters.

Theoretically it'd be easy to do. Just make a function that checks whether or not the manga has had that chapter released before and then based on whether or not it has place it in the appropriate table.

The idea is not bad, but it's not so simple. There are scanlators, who work by chapters, and scanlators, who work by volumes, so there might be problems. Also, there are some scanlators, who restart the numbering of the chapters in each volume.

Sure thats a hurdle to get over but all you would need to do to get over it would be to institute a standard vol/chapter syntax for the submitters to follow.

Honestly, MU is the best site for updating manga. Though it has a disadvantage that releases are mainly based upon users' contribution(its advantage at the same time). I can see that many people,just like me, are leechers with hundred of posts and never add a single release (oh it seems I have a limited number of posts too ))

I like MU the way it is. If you want to know if the manga has been released before, you can click on the manga title and just look. It tells you which group did it and what chapters they did.
