Okay I know it's a pretty fail thread title, but if I said "manga with a lot of stuff going on" i'd probably get recommended a lot of confusing of rushed series, or at least that's my fear.

What I'm looking for is a manga that isn't necessarily fast paced, but it just has a lot of stuff packed into it. Every chapter, every volume, the whole manga, just a lot has happened in a short time and it works really well. It's not slow, it's not draggy.

Oh and it has to be good. Everyone's opinion of good differs, but I want something with a good plot or good character developement.

Example of what I want: I have no manga examples. ('.')
And even though these are anime: Toradora (a lot happens in one episode), Tweeny Witches (each episode is extremely short, 9 mins, but lots happens), Kaiji, Akagi

What I don't want: Loveless (very very very slow, and not much has happened so far)
Fruits Basket: very draggy, and not a lot happens

Yes and no. Your suggestions have brought me to a lot of interesting series, but also have reminded me a of a view non-examples. Like Kekkaishi, which only got interesting 40 chapters in and then was quite repetitive. In my opinion.

I don't want anything repetitive, slow, or draggy.

I want something that gets to the point fast, or is varied and diverse, a lot of different things happening in a short amount of chapters.

But thanks for the suggestions!

I think Diabolo should fit. Be sure to read my comment on it! (And I suggest you ignore the bad rating - I really don't see any reason for it to be rated so low.)

20th Century Boys
A lot happens in a lot of time... Don't remember if a lot happens each chapter... but has lots of chapters, lots of characters, and past and present histories are both told with the same detail...
Little bit of romance but almost none...

Oh yes! I think this is a good manga example. I already read it but, in 3 volumes a lot of story gets crammed in, never feeling rushed and always suspenseful.

So something like that.

Thanks for the suggestions

Black Lagoon? Crazy actions all the time.
Seriously, you should make your lists public so that people won't make unnecessary recommendations.
