Anyone know of translated manga, available in the US, for little kids? My three-year-old is very interested in his big brothers' manga, but none of it is really appropriate...I've read him some One Piece and he kind of likes it, but a lot of it is over his head. Suggestions??

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

Thanks...just took a look it's it's mostly Pokemon, plus a few that look more shoujo.

Yotsubato!
Gon looks promising.
Senki Senki Momotama - Maybe
Hitsugi Katsugi no Kuro. - Kaichu Tabi no Wa
Aka-chan to Boku
And how about Tottoko Hamutarou?
And definitely Chii's Sweet Home! No kid could possibly resist it
I don't think any of these are like One Piece, though.

Thanks, I'll have to check those out, especially Gon.
Not sure why I didn't think of Yotsubato! as it's one of my absolute favorite manga of all time...maybe I subconsciously didn't want to give him any ideas!!
I'm not necessarily looking for anything similar to One Piece, that's just one that he's seen his big brothers read that I was ok with reading to him (Case Closed, not so much...)
I guess I could try Dragonball too, and maybe Ranma 1/2, since we already have those in the house.

Ranma 1/2 has a little bit too much nudity for a 3 year old I think ^_^
I grew up with Tekken Chinmi and Doraemon... Doraemon is the best growing up manga in my opinion, it teaches you so much good values ^_^
Keroro Gunso / Sergeant Frog is pretty kid friendly and funny imo

There are manga for Studio Ghibi films like Totoro. The library system in my city carries them in the children's section. They're published by Viz.

Third Doraemon: really good stuff for kids.
Second Yotsubato!.
Also, try Crayon Shin-chan and Jarinko Chie
Black Jack is good for moral lessons, though it can be a little dark.
Dragon Ball is cool too(from a guy's perspective)
You can also try Light Novels like Suzumiya Haruhi. I have a little sister who is really into this novel, so much that she started copying the covers. Now she can draw pretty well

Just remembered One Fine Day - it looks pretty cute.
I agree with mizunosaki; I don't recommend Ranma 1/2 at all. I don't think Rumiko Takahashi is capable of writing something that a child should be allowed to read.
