I'm looking for mangas and manhwas with protagonists that aren't human species.

Halfbreeds and hybrids are allowed.
Androids are allowed.
Artificial created humans are only allowed when the manga is a must read.
Aliens are allowed.
Mythical beings are allowed.
Demons and angels are allowed.
Ghosts are forbidden.
Gods are forbidden.

Would prefer if they were a totally different race. Living in it's own society where no humans exist.
Ofcourse mangas where they do co-exist are fine too.

Ecchi is allowed. Please no borderline stuff/yuri/yaoi/hentai.

If you really like androids and cyber-punk, you could try any bigger work from Nihei Tsutomu, especially
BLAME! for anything non human.
BioMega for an artificial human and a talking bear.

Just so you know, this mangaka tends to build pretty serious and depressing worlds. If you're looking for something light-hearted, Sybear gave you lots to choose from, but if you ever feel like a darker story, give BLAME! a try and if you like it, read the prequels, NOiSE and BioMega.

+Anima - About a group of half-animal children travelling around a world where half-animals are second class citizens.

Safe Again Today - Adorable slice of life about a group of aliens seeking refuge from their respective planets in a type of safehouse on earth. On earth, they must adapt to human society and come to terms with their sometimes saddening situations. Don't worry, the aliens wear devices that enable them to look mostly human (there are a few quirks)

Dogs Bullets & Carnage - Genetically engineered half-animals formed their own community in a crime ridden district.

Sengoku Youko - About a ragtag team of peacekeepers that go around trying to remedy rapidly worsening human/mythical being relations. There is a fox demon that loves humans, and a human that wants to be a demon.
