hope I got the title post right...

anyway, I need some recommendations for a particular type of manga that I'm very into at the moment. I recently read Kanata Kara and Anatolia story and enjoyed both very much. So I'm looking for manga similar to these where the main hero/ heroine get transported to another world for whatever reason.

any suggestions would be appreciated...

Tsubasa Reservoir Chornicle is the first that comes to mind too.

Also, Escaflowne as well.

MAR is good. Other then that... Yu Yu Hakusho has a bit of that scattered into the plot. In fact, rather alot of the series is in another world.

Red River and From Far Away I thought were really great too! Fantasy shoujo! I can't think of another off the top of my head that resembles those, but you may want to check out Basara. The heroine does not get transported to another world, but it is shoujo, sort of fantasy/sci-fi, and has the same sort of art style as the former two titles. I just started reading it and so far so good.

Freaking Twelve Kingdoms is awesome as a mofo. Oh wait, you want manga, well if you ever want to read a novel series where the main character goes to another world, check out Twelve Kingdoms or the Anime, both are awesome.

I second Escaflowne, it's really good, watched it like 5 times already.

I have to agree with Adidaas, though not a manga, Twelve Kingdoms is very excellent.

Fushigi Yuugi
Ayashi no Ceres

There's another one with the girl going to a place with bodyguards and stuff, kind of like Fushigi Yuugi... ah well the name is hard so haha

Black Bird is very good. The scanlation has just begun. Not your typical 'girl-gets-transferred-to-other-world', but here the other world comes to the girl biggrin. Quite funny, bit smutty, shoujo. Worth your time if you want something that you can relax with.

King of Wolves and Amatsuki are pretty good. Plus king of Wolves was created by OKAMURA Yoshiyuki (Fist of the North Star) and MIURA Kentaro (Berserk)

Silver Diamond is awsome but it did get licensed by TokyoPop so it'll be awhile before it's available again.
