I'm looking for manga/anime with realistic mechas like Full metal panic, Patlabor, Rideback (although I didn't like the plot of that one), Viper's creed - the time of the action is in the near future, also the mechas must use weapons close to the existing soldier equipment - guns, rifles, pistols, knifes, batons (in Patlabor), swords too, no lasers or other weapons of that sort. No Gundam please. Thank you in advance.

Gasaraki? I think the producer made another one without the spiritual stuff, but I don't remember the title.
Red eyes also fits.

i would say

Appleseed and Ghost in the shell (it's more of an armed suite rather than your classic huge mechs but Appleseed mech design is quite similar to patlabor.
GunxSword
Code Gease

Heroic age ( i haven't actually watched it but it does seem like a realistic design from the poster.)

Heroic Age:
I've watched Heroic Age and it settles in space in war betewn Planets and the battles are in space and it's alot about your "spirit" rather then mechanical functions as "Age" (the main) is the robot since he's from the extinct Hero Tribe. (they were kinda like titans in the universe, super strong and very unique. They exterminated themself fighting eachother if I remeber Correctly.)

Code Geass:
GREAT ANIME but, it's futuristic technology where there's Engery shields and Laser Beams and such but it's completly up to the prefomance of the machine and pilot that matters (in other words, no "spirit"), However the main does not "Fight" in a Mech Unit very much since he's a Commander and has avreage skills in piloting it even if hes above other in the strategy part.

So Code Geass does kinda meet ur Mecha demand.

I have to agree about suggestions like Full Metal Panic, Rideback etc.

At first, I didn't understand what meant bt real mecha, now I got an idea.

Jinki and Jinki: Extend are such examples too.

Sadly, the first six chapters of Jinki have ever been scanlated. Hopefully some scanlation group can pick up where it left.

Blue Gender? Ryousuke Takahashi have made lots of other realistic real robot series, also worth noting are Fang of Sun Dougram and Armored Trooper Votoms .

Bokurano? I don't think all the weapons used were realistic though - sometimes they were, and sometimes they weren't.
