Like many people, I believe that Raki will have transformed in GARaki once he reunites with Clare. For those of you unfamiliar with the term GAR, it basically means super awesome badass.
ITT we discuss how he will have become the #1 swordsman in the world, capable of killing a thousand awakened beings in one blow. And he's totally going to impress Clare.

mangas where they have a thirst
for some splatter. =_=

It's Raki......and he's human. Well ok I don't think he'll be any better then those two guards we met in the beginning in the monastery.

Can he become a good swordsman? Yes... Can he maybe become good enough to survive fighting a normal Yoma alone? Maybe.
Can he become good enough to kill any kind of Yoma on his own? Not likely at all...
Can he become good enough to kill an awakened? IMPOSSIBLE.
Seriously, unless the author was drunk, on drugs, sleep deprived and terminally affected in the brain... there is absolutely no way he'd make him go past human boundaries.
P.S. Edited topic title...

Yeah i dont see it happening either, if i was to bet i put more money down on him getting killed somehow rather then becoming a super badass.

Unless he would become Claymore, but then how could this be ? I don't think that anyone besides Man in Black would know how to make one so unless he would join the org it would propably be impossible.

My prediction is that Raki will be an awakened being when we see him again

Well considering there's only 2 more episodes left....
I think episode 25 will contain the fight between Clare and Priscilla, then at the end (or half way through) everyone else will show up (except Raki because he's human and slow...unless Deneve is carrying him, in which case he can probably walk faster than her). They'll go "zomg Clare~~ FAITO!!!" and then they will fight some more. Clare will awaken fully (her arm as well, being the badass thing it will become, along with her).
Then in the last episode there'll be a little more fighting, Clare will get pwned (or seemingly get pwned) and then Raki and Deneve show up and then Raki cries like a little girl.

first of all, i think the topic is about the manga, not the anime... and second.... he is training under the easley, the number one warrior from the male age.... i think easley may even know how to make more claymores, so turning raki into one wouldn't be that far from possible, and knowing raki wan't to become strong enough to help claire, and that he isn't stupid enough to think that a mere human can do it.... so i think he will be absurdly strong by the time he meets with claire...

Pfft, well considering this topic came up so soon after I just happened to watch episode 24, guess I just had to assume.

Sorry, yeah this is mainly for the manga. After all, in the anime,
I dunno, I think Raki has some good chunk of the story to show himself as awesome. We still have like 11 more volumes until the end of the series, so developing Raki would be an excellent plot point.

he doesn't train for years under Isley, and hardly develops at all.

Ohhh, I see, I see. Hence why I think he'll cry like a baby...why didn't they leave that in the anime?! It would've made sense!!

since this is a manga community, you should always assume manga unless stated otherwise... And you really should read the manga. Manga > Anime in more than 99.99% of the cases. And Claymore isn't in the 0.01%.

You know I probably wouldn't have been so let down with the anime specific ending if I hadn't read the manga. But then again I kinda figured that the anime would have an anime specific ending since the source material is a monthly manga that's at 13 volumes and counting (since there's like what, 4 chapters a volume).
