hahahahahahah

I Cant believe someone actually said One Piece, One Piece is easily the best manga that is over 60+ volumes. There is no other manga that long that even compares to teh brilliance that is One Piece

Naruto has picked up for me with the world war arc, but goddamn bleach just gets worse and worse ever since hueco mundo it just keeps going down.

Really wish I was Kubo's editor I'd slap the dumbass of his face and tell him to stop wasting pages on pointless close ups on characters faces that take up 10 pages of the chapter.

Gintama, it was funny at first and when it takes on a serious story line it looks like it could rival the best in terms of a serious plot. but Then i read some ridiculous arc in volume 13 i think about a woman wanting them to find her missing son and quit. If Gintama turned serious and took on an actual plot it would probably be one of my faves but the constant gag arcs just killed it for me.

I really hate it when they try to change something that works, I mean if I keep reading your manga than there is something about it the cought my attention and made me want to read, but no the story has to take a 180. Can't count how many times I read something awesome but about 1/4 of it in and it changes, for example, some series like romantic comedies I read because they are hilarious and then they just become about romance and almost no humor, or may be and the story has a lot of great plot twists but suddenly all that stops.

I would have to say that for me it is Monster and 20th Century Boys. Both for the same reasons they just start to drag and drag, Urasawa is a master story teller but has doesn't know how to end a story.

Berserk is starting to dissapoint

i know i have a dirty imagination but the last 10chapters we have seen VAGINA-monsters and its not funny anymore
the art is getting sloppy
and the big god thing that looks like a final fantasy malboro looks so lame compared to the awesome monsters we usualy see

and even all the problems from using the berserker armor seems to have gone away
before he took alot of dammage and the armor kept him going
now when he is quicksilver fast he never get touched

I disagree about Kekkaishi. That manga has only gotten better - but was rather boring at the beginning.

I'll add Berserk, Gantz, Naruto, and Hunter x Hunter to that list. I'm sure there are more, but those are at the top of my mind right now, probably because they're the biggest.

I'd disagree with gantz, but otherwise most of these were always kinda boring. Gantz was getting boring for a minute there during the third arc but the past few chapters have been awesome.

ive read all your post and i dont exactly agree with gantz to much, sure it has lost it plot and seems to be rushing its ass off but because its main selling point is violence i still read it cause i love violence and action mangas also swot is still to new to judge at this point in time

I'd agree with you, plus the past couple chapters have been seriously cool.

every manga that turned into too much of a generic superpower battle manga when it wasn't needed:
-air gear (i hate it so much now, i'm not sure if it ever was good)
-reborn
-d.gray man

others:
-bleach (it's become a waste of space)

still, i have no problem if the story changes naturally.

i stopped with bleach, it's awesome and all but another major plot surfaced after the aizen problem and i didn't have the energy to keep reading it. probably when it ends i might.
D.gray man, same thing.
And one piece is just a lost cause. -_-'' i wish i could read it but that would mean starting to read from the first ch i aint got the time for that--_--

Gintama was meant to be and still is a gag-manga at it's core.
I agree with you that the serious arcs in Gintama are just amazing, but it's also hilarious as a gag manga. I wish that Sorachi (mangaka) would keep the gag arcs short and sweet and do some more serious arcs but honestly Gintama is awesome just the way it is. Watch the Jirochou arc that is airing right now (it's serious and you'd love it).

I would recommend Sket Dance to anyone who likes Gintama. Pretty good jokes, and it really shines as a drama in the serious arcs. Those are just amazing. The Sket Dance mangaka used to work as an assitant to the Gintama mangaka.

On topic:

Air Gear - used to be so awesome before the Oh!Great's brain stopped working

Bleach - keeps getting worse just when you think it couldn't get worse

Hunter X Hunter - Hiatus X Hiatus never should've had that damn Chimera Arc

Naruto - the whole story so far has been about Sasuke and I just don't give a damn

Reborn - Biggest let down for me in my whole entire life because of the Shimon Arc. This manga opened my eyes as to how crappy Shounen Jump was. Too much overpowered stuff that requires main character to be more overpowered and had no point in the plot any more either than just show new powers.

Bleach - Aizen arc was kinda fail with too much "just as planned" from Aizen and too overpowered causing an entirely more overpowered Ichigo that just made this manga had no point any more besides showing new powers and bad plot.

Naruto - This just got boring for me....... Ya I understand they're in a huge big war and stuff, but remember the destruction of Konoha? And how many people died including Kakashi? Well Pain had a change of heart and revived everyone. Whoopie! Yahoo! Happy Ending! This just makes me sick! *bleh* I hate these Revive No Jutsu more haxor than the Dragon Balls. I can bet people will be revived also in this huge epic war, OH WAIT! IT JUST HAPPENED!

One Piece - its OK for now...... but I'm not expecting it to stay good. Probably gonna screw up sooner or later. Sorry but I'm kinda pessimistic on this one seeing how all the fellow Jump mangas are down in the gutter.

I wont say all those 4 mangas to be fall from their grace. Their stories is still nice but sometimes reading them is kinda annoying especially bleach and naruto.

Bleach > The bad guy is TOOOO OP. I mean come on. Look at aizen.

Naruto > Hate when naruto keep saying that he wan to save sasuke. If the dude wan to be bad let him be =.=..

One Piece so far is very interesting and I can see it will be long till it finish.

no A lot of people said vampire knight and I don't understand why. Vampire knight was the first manga I ever read and after reading tons of others it has remained my favorite. [spoiler] After Yuki becomes a pureblood the story does slow down but it picks up again when Kaname starts to look like a bad guy. I have to say that I strongly disagree with this opinion.

I agree with most things I have read in the forum (ie. Bleach, Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, Kurohime)
I have not been reading a few series lately so have not reached the parts described in Air Gear and Akuma to Love Song- really sad to hear they get boring....
As for Gantz and Berserk, I agree that Gantz was derailed with its space aliens and completely changed but I still withhold judgement as I think that, despite the poor transition, the new arc is now entirely bad. If you look at it independently it is very entertaining.
Berserk has become quite standard RPG/adventure type, which I resent but the art is still beautiful (despite the giant malboro)- and it is still very strong. Both of them, though not as good as they were, I would hardly describe as "fallen from grace".
Never cared much for One Piece but maybe I will pick it up if everyone claims it gets better. Always felt it had too much filler, particularly in its battles.
And a few for me to add:
1. Might seem a bit old now but Mx0- until the last 5 chapters, it was one of the best mangas I knew of but then, cut by the publisher, the premature ending made it pretty terrible. One of the greatest mistakes in the past 10 years of manga was discontinuing that series....
2. I don't want to be premature but I am not enjoying Claymore's new arc as much as the previous ones. It is not yet bad but I think the transition could have been slower in that series as well.
3. Yureka was enjoyable for the first 100 chapters or so then just became incoherent and pretty terrible.
4. 1/2 Prince was actually decent for awhile then...
5. I still find Nurarihyon no mago enjoyable but it is losing sight of its premise I think. The anime incorporated the lead character's human environment very well but I feel the manga is putting too much time on stretched out action scenes.
6. Akumetsu was great at the beginning, particularly with all its caricatures of polticians but with the sci-fi/cloning stuff it has become quite dull.
7. Bastart also was fairly good at the beginning but quickly got boring
8. I also found that Saver got worse after the first few volumes.

Immortal Regis/Cavalier of the Abyss. When the protagonist from the prequel was turned into the evil antagonist and the focus of the series shifted to some other unimportant characters that now seek revenge on him.

Bleach
It just drags on and on. There is no point anymore, since the plot is now as good as non-existent, too.
