Just curious how many of you fans have decided to buy them. DD has recently come to America through Shojo Beat in various book stores and online.

I had started reading DD on Manga Fox, but since they took it down, I've decided to commit and help the mangaka by buying them instead. I'm up to the second volume now.

What about you? What's your thoughts?

beast master has been on my list for some time now, but every time I go to the store, it's never there!

Eh, I kind of want to considering it is my favorite manga.
Then again I don't really feel like it.
Maybe if the Volumes released by viz surpasses the scanlations I'll think about it. smile

yup, i read DD online, but I also buy the manga to support the mangaka. ♥
I'm up to v2, but I'll be buying v3 here pretty soon.

My only *little* gripe is I wish Viz/Shoujo Beat would do little cultural notes like the scanlaters (ie: the meaning of giving Teru red beans and rice, or Kurosaki complaining that Teru should use more Kanji instead of the stupid Americanized "texting" translation)

Yup, me too. I like the scanlations so much more. Their translations I feel fit so much better and have more feeling than how it's written in the english volumes. But it's nice to have the actual paper in my hands. I didn't buy them at first but Borders rewards sometimes has some nice coupons smile

*edit* Yay volume 3! Three more months til the next one...

I've gotten up to volume 8. Had to curtail my disposable income for a time so I'm behind on getting 9 and pre-ordering 10, but by the end of the month it'll be my birthday so I'm hoping to get 'em then. One of the best shoujo series I've read since Natsuki Takaya's Fruits Basket.

The humor is some of the best I've ever seen, the art is excellent and rougher than I'd expected from a "girls' comic," the characters are so fun and yet so achingly human, my heart has been captured since page one. eyes

I bought the manga in Japanese. The first three volumes I ordered from yesasia. The others I bought while in Japan from the awesome used book stores there (when I could find them) and I bought the 10th one new because it had just come out while I was there. smile That's as many as I have at the moment.
