I'm looking for something similar to Akagami no Shirayukihime.
To be more specific, a manga series where the girl isn't completely helpless. It doesn't matter to me whether it's shounen or shoujo, but it's preferred that there's some comedy romance (obviously). I'm mainly looking for something on the more recent side, but it doesn't matter too much.
No ecchi or BL please. I have nothing against it, but it's just not my thing.
Just to add this on, I've pretty much read all of AKIZUKI Sorata TANEMURA Arina TOOYAMA Ema SHIIBA Nana MOTOMI Kyousuke SAKAI Mayu MATSUZUKI Kou HARUTA Nana manga series.That's all I can name off the top of my head rofl.

Just in case you're feeling lazy and you don't want to read any of that, just recommend a series with a sweet romance. Oh, and, at least read the bold above. c:

Ummm, first thing that comes to mind would be Mahoraba. Some drama, but in my opinion it's sweet, only 8 volumes long I believe. Well... I should say its the second half's where the romance debuts, but it is entertaining and I thought it was a great read.

Just as a note, I didn't read Akagami no Shirayukihime... all these suggestions are my opinions taken from my complete list:

Works by YOSHINO Aki -- read all that's available by her. Especially Shuukatsu!! - Kimi ni Naitei. By far, my favorite josei romance mangaka...

A sweet one-shot (no comedy though): Hidarite no Love Letter by CHIBA Kozue. Another work by her that was pretty impressive (to me) was 24 Colors... granted, there's no comedy in that either... but it's got this soft feel to it.

Hanatsukihime -- fantasy world... it's like reading about an oasis in the desert...

A quick one-shot that's cute: Guys After Marriage.

How about 1/2 Prince? The romance isn't the main focus, but it's very sweet. Also, strong female lead.
