just want to know what do you like bettter, animea or manga? btw i prefer manga just because im like that

i definitly prefer the manga, but out of the big 3 (bleach, naruto, one piece) one piece is the only anime i'm even watching

I prefer the manga but I really like both. I'm not completely caught up with the anime so it's nice to have it to watch when waiting for a new chapters to release. Also nice to watch because it's been awhile since I first started reading it so it definitively is awesome to see all the fights and side-story stuff.

manga is awesome but anime fight are much cooler so... am... i cant choose thats why both

actually I like the manga better, but some filler arcs in the anime are pretty cool^^ like when they are in that marine base after sky island (at least I think it was then)

Luffys voice actor Tanaka Mayumi is ...annoying
i cant stand her Luffy voice...she made KuririnDragonball pretty good but she just fails as Luffy
its just so over the top

her luffy is so annoying to me that i cant stand the anime

Wow! I love her Luffy. To me it just sounds perfect for Luffy, goofy and aloof in all the right places, but intense and harsh when it needs to be. Not knocking your opinion, of course. It's just funny that we could have such different preferences.

OMG! This is also a first time for me to hear someone thinks that Mayumi Tanaka's voice is not perfect for Luffy. When I was a kid, I always fantasizes about how would my beloved manga characters sounds like in anime. Luffy was of course, on my top list. When I first saw One Piece anime, I was so shocked and excited that he sounds exactly like how I imagined him to be.

I mean, I don't know if I am the only one like this, but with most action manga, I have trouble actually understanding what is happening in the panels, and the anime makes it much easier. I don't have this same problem with most american comics with action in them... All the same, with most anime, they are more heavily censored than the actual manga, so that can be a drawback.

And I agree, Luffy's voice actress is amazing.

yeah in OP understanding action panels can be a pain because of ique powers......like stretching,going up in smoke,electricity,fire,.......which in anime are easy to follow.....unlike bleach where there's only linear sword fights......

and as for the other thing....mature anime release both censored and uncensored version
like in lady X butler, sekirei , yosuga no sora......etc there are 2 versions in which one shows n!pples and boobs clearly and the other tactfully hides them

Manga.

The anime is a bit slow in terms of well, animation...the whole dragging it on for 22 minutes isn't really that great for me.

The movies on the other hand...love Strong World, totally kick ass animations in that one.
