This stupid fake adware advertisement is back, and I have no way of getting rid of it without it restricting my use of my PC. Luckily i managed to find a loophole while typing this down, and i'm really angsty about it.

http://www.spyware-techie.com/xp-internet-security-removal-guid e/

The last time this happened, I followed a lot of instructions to how to remove it, but it came out for naught because another virus stops me from opening any adware removal programs. But when time passed, the virus is gone, for half a year. I tried to do system restore, but i don't think it works because it doesnt even start.

Help me out here; I don't know how long i can stay on. I have my iTouch to gain access to, but i'm not signed on and i keep forgetting my password.

THAT IS MY NEMISIS! D< I've had it a couple times, where it won't let me open any programs at all. luckily, I know how to get rid of it.

You just have to delete your account on your computer (you know what I'm talking about?). The problem with this is if you copy over your files, you copy over the virus to the other account as well. So if you have any important files, I dunno what you should do. If you don't, though, just delete the account the virus is on, and VIOLA! The virus is gone. For some reason if you just leave the account alone (and don't delete it) the virus moves over to the other accounts if you just use them instead.

Or at least, that's what worked for me, using Vista.

I haven't known how to get rid of that. I have a redirecting virus, and one that blocks internet >_>

Sorry, I don't know much about computers, so my question may be a bit silly biggrin

How do you get these kinds of viruses? By downloading things? Visiting websites you shouldn't visit?

Have you tried starting up in safe mode, then performing a system restore to before the fake antivirus appeared? That worked for me when I got hit with one.

You need to have someone audit your HijackThis log. There's no easy way to remove virii of this kind.

See if it has bad memory bounding, hold control alt delete for about a minute (opening new instances). Very quickly go to processes and kill anything that looks strange. Most virii have pretty bad memory management, and by opening multiple instances of programs, it can take them a while to close them on you.

Download and install Kaspersky anti-virus 30 days trial. Update it. Disconnect from everything.(external HDD, internet, network, wireless...). Remove all the programs u'r not using. Perform a full scan with kaspersky.

Ugh...Even in safe mode, the virus keeps popping up, and i have no way of deleting my only account if the virus affects even my external hardrives.

Are there any external spyware removal software that i can purchase to get rid of these annoying viruses? I figured that Nortan would be a good choice, but then again, i never bought these programs before, so I wouldn't know...

Norton has a really bad reputation, from what I hear. Apparently the free ones available online are at least as good as the ones you buy. I dunno, have you thought about trying to get some tech support from professionals?

I will say that I once got a similar kind of virus/spyware thing from mangafox, where it was impossible to get rid of it because it automatically blocked our anti-virus software. In the end we installed another hard drive, installed windows on it, then ran an anti-virus program from the new hard drive on the old one, which wiped out the virus. I don't know whether that would work for you though. I have no idea how it even worked really.

Whenever I get a really bad virus on my laptop (it's happened maybe five or six times), I restore it to factory settings, which overwrites everything on the computer. This has always solved my problems even though it's kind of a pain.
I've always been able to save my files, too, by putting them on a USB drive (but if there are any files that I'm even a little bit suspicious of, I let those get deleted). One time, my laptop was so bad that I couldn't even log onto my account or get into safe mode (I installed Linux from a CD and was able to log onto it to save my files. That was pretty sweet.), so I did the restore to factory settings from the startup menu.
Anyway, that's my recommendation: save the files you want and trust on a USB if you can, and then wipe everything from the startup menu.

I had that too a few times... I took my computer to get all the data erased and restored again... took like a few days and cost about 100 dollars.

It appears to be the same one I had a while back. If it hasn't been drastically updated the instructions I posted here http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=15070&pa ge=3#post382562 should still work. Although these instructions are for a different virus the method I used to get rid of them is the same. The only difference is if you haven't been having the your web browser redirect you don't need to uninstall it.

Grrrrr.... I'm infected with another spyware; It keeps making my computer to reset, so I have to go to safe mode with networking to get through this.

http://remove-malware.net/how-to-remove-disk-repair-fake-secu rity-program/

The fake Disk Repair program looks more or less aggressive(but still annoying) than previous viruses that infected my computer, but I can't just let it sit. I already looked up anything involving that particular virus, but someone like me who can't repair this problem by myself, I ask again; how can I fix this?

In case you're wondering, why haven't I responded back when my computer was infected in previous times. That's because over time(about less than two weeks), the spyware disappears, and things went back to normal. I don't know how or why, but something tells me that its not something i should not worry about...
