With the new ban that passed, won't this (Aki Sora) and others like Nana to Kaoru, (maybe High School of the Dead) be cancelled?
Source of the ban: http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/12/13/tokyo-anime-mang a-ban-passes/

very likely to be the case

The law probably also spells the end of most late night anime in Tokyo (and by extension, everywhere else), which it would appear to ban under its distribution clause; given the vague wording of the current season alone it seems Ore no Imouto, Panty & Stocking, Yosuga, Sora no Otoshimono, Milky Holmes and others would all fall foul of its various stipulations.

no way, Sora, Ore imouto and PS eek

Popular series are less likely to be killed off (forever).
As said in the article that you yourself linked, they could be revived as an 18+ series.
Did you even read the whole thing?

It's sankaku. Chill out. They're just blowing this out of proportion. A few manga may take some hits but overall and in the long run not much will change.

They won't be canceled because of the this, only get an 18+ rating.

I did read the whole thing, but... aki sora even revived as a 18+ still wouldn't make it because it has all kind of crazy "illegal" stuff in it...

We are talking about Tokyo not about Japan, and a multi billion worth of entertainment industry. With this law the country lose a huge amount of tax income, they won't let that happen, this law is only a bs. Money rules the world not morals.

Affirmative, "Tokyo" is a city, not the country.

No. You don't understand this ordinance. At all.

"Illegal" content, even if the board actually decides a manga contains such things, cannot be enforced with any harsher punishment than an 18+ rating.

Besides, I'd doubt much evaluation ever actually happening, considering the half-assed way the enforcement procedures are carried out. It's pretty difficult to get rid of anything entirely, especially if it has any sort of monetized fanbase to incentivize the publisher to keep it around.

Aki-Sora isn't a Shounen..it's a Seinen meaning it's intended for adults already anyway.
