i call my mum "mama" and when i talk about her "mother"
i used to call my dad "papa" but now i call him by his name "Gerd"

Dad= Old Man, Dad, or if I'm being sarcastic 'Daddy.' Old Man is used most frequently.

For some reason, I just don't like the sound of mom/dad. When I talk to other people about them, though...that's the only time I'll address them as mom/dad.
