I do like the culture to some extent, like anime & manga (obviously), also like some food and the language. But I'm not sure I I'd wanted to been born as japanese, and I don't think I'd like to work or live in Japan for a longer period of time.

I wouldn't be surprised if everyone here liked Japan, even if just a little.

Well I'd visit but not live there.
Why? Well I like America even if it's suckish sometimes.
I also can't stand people staring everyday if I live there >_>;

Japan seems really interesting to me. i would like to live there one day for a few weeks to see what its like... but ill probably be dissapointed. cry its not going to be the same as in manga or anime most likely, and i cant speak japanese at all. even if some english major japanese person talked to me, id be like "what do you say? is that supposed to be english?"

but id get by with playing hand signs

Surprisingly I have to say no I don't particularly like the country. I do enjoy their comics and cartoons but other then that, I don't care for the food, the people are unusually xenophobic, the countries history makes me cringe at times and their economy is rather shaky.

I love japanese things!
Their products are usually very classy and pretty.

The only thing I don't like is the history(esp. towards the WWII era).

The book Rape of Nanjing pretty much cured my interest of japanese history.

I enjoyed my time in Japan but I don't want to spend the rest of my days there. Although I wouldn't mind visiting again.
Just about every country's history has something that makes me cringe so I'd rather not judge by that.

The xenophobia prevents me from liking Japan as much as most people.

EDIT: I'm reading this and I just realized that it makes me look like I'm the one with xenophobia. laugh I meant the xenophobia in Japan.
