Wth? I thought that I knew what is this about... but why did he kill himconfused What kind of twisted plan is that..."the plan"? I loved this manga, but now I feel..umm...how should I say it... as if I don't know anymore what to expect and what's the point of this manga...I was ignoring this feeling last few chapters but after 67 I am totally confused...

i kinda thought for some time that they were gonna villainize kaname and i think that it is probably gonna be used to get zero and yuki to work together with the way yuki reacted to zero when she was carried by him and almost lost control to the desire to drink his blood and when zero was thinking about her and got an urge though i really do not know how he could really get mad at her for tasting his blood when he used to constantly drink hers what a hypocrate

This manga used to be my fav,
but ah dunno, since yuuki live with kaname everything is confusing,
in the ch. 67 i just "whaaat?"
wondering what is kaname's original plan...
maybe to annihilate all vampire?
I wont ever forgive the mangaka if kaname turn villain and yuuki end p with zero.

is everybody rooting for an incest ending cause most people seem to want yuki to end up with her ancestor/brother

dunno... incest? is it really? if he is not her bro? and ancestor...hm. weird. anyway, i think it's not that i wanted them to end together from the start, i didn't care who she'd end up with, but in every manga if heroine once chooses i want her to stick to that choice...so if she chose Kaname, I don't want her to go back to Zero like "oh, it didn't end up well with Kaname so here I am". (>_>)
and kaname... now a villain? *sigh*
isn't it enough that zero became emo and yuuki without soul/will/stopped being cheerful?

i myself have an odd view on manga(i think) i always end up rooting for the most unlikely characters only manga so far that ended well for my perspective so far is ichigo 100% but would prefer her to end up with zero this i have thought since the beginning and his threatening to kill her has not changed that since i doubt he would be able to bring himself to do that anyway but ar least zero was open and said that while kaname just goes around lying and trying to keep her locked up and i do not like deceitful type characters and never have

There were plenty of signs that Kaname was probably going to become a villain (he slaughtered the entire vampire council for goodness sake), but the mangaka unfortunately soft pedaled the whole thing with all the hugs and I love yous between Kaname and Yuuki. It was all too easy to forget about the fact that Kaname is a dangerous person when you see him cuddling with the main character. bigrazz

My understanding of Kaname's original plan is that he wants all purebloods dead for sure, and possibly all vampires. After creating the vampire hunters organization, he told them that their inescapable destiny (or something like that) was to kill all vampires, so that may really be what he wants, not just the death of all purebloods. Without the vampire council around to keep the peace, a war between the vampires is much easier to achieve, after all.

About the incest question: It's incest even if he isn't her brother. He's still a direct blood relative--great-grandfather, to be exact. There's no getting around the fact that relationships between grandparents and grandchildren are considered incestuous just as relationships between siblings and between parents and children. Sure, the manga gives reasons as to why the incest isn't considered bad in vampire society, but it is still a relationship that (our) society would define as incestuous.

Personally I am happy that there's finally some ACTION going on! The manga's literally been destroyed by all the mushi-ness and excessive angst going on in the last 20 chapters.

Agreed. The mushiness was, quite frankly, repetitive and dull and didn't serve to either move the plot forward or develop the characters. And the angst... good grief, just how many times do we need to listen to the characters pitying themselves?

One of the manga's strong points (in my opinion) was how quickly it kept things moving. A LOT of stuff happened before the time skip. Since the time skip, however, things have slowed down dramatically and the main character has been forced onto the sidelines to live in complete ignorance of what everyone else has been up to. Having such an inactive and ignorant main character just isn't fun.

Hopefully the latest developments mean that Yuuki is finally going to be an active participant in the plot and that things are going to start moving again (the way they were in the beginning).

Yup. that's what I hope is gonna happen finally... more action I mean... because it was just weird last 20 or so chapters >.<
I kinda lost the point of this manga in last 20 chapters or so... so I hope we're gonna see what is it in next chapters...and yeah, I totally agree that the angst was seriosly unmanageable...(=.=)
