Never dieted, loss some weight once, actually it was only a couple of lbs and just got toned, while I was in track in high school.

I eat what I want, how much I want. My weight never goes over 103lbs. I'm taking advantage of my fast metabolism, just in case I can't indulge as much when I get even older. I guess I can thank my mom for it. She's so tiny.

I don't diet, I just lose weight.

I've lost a little over 50 lbs in about six months...

Exercise and eat well. It's a miracle cure really.

And by eat well, that's avoiding garbage fastfood and learning how to cook. (This doesn't mean starving yourself or over consuming.)

Honestly, I've had a history of being slightly overweight. Not going to lie. However, I decided I wanted to lose about ten pounds and so far, in about three weeks, I've lost 7 pounds. So I'm pretty happy with myself, all I did was cut out meat from my diet and start controlling my hunger by eating fruits...hahaha.

I don't do anything much. Especially not diets, since I think it's ridiculous.

In order to lose weight one must eat well, and not like a pig.
Stay away from too much carbs and sugar.
Eat breads and veggies for all their fivers and benefactors.
Fruits for vitamins.
Meat for protein and good life. biggrin

Exercise is also very important.

For those who starve themselves:
It won't work. The body will shut down while trying to prevent energy loss and will start using less of your body's fat.
In the end, you'll be half dead with lots of problems.
Also, hungry and will likely put on more weight.

My good friend jogs, for example.
She's got a very slow metabolism, so she must do this regularly to stay fit.

I have started a morning routine. Half an hour a day. I've cut out extra salt, and I stopped drinking so much sugary drinks, and more water. I still drink the same amount of soda, if not more, which is bad. I started about a month ago, and its only had a positive effect on me. Most of my pants fit me right again, so I'm gonna see how far I can go with this. eyes

If you want to lose weight it's really very simple.

Calories in < Calories out (burned) = Weight loss

It really doesn't matter what you eat as long as you follow this. Yes, that means you can eat McDonalds. Obviously, the catch is that if you're gonna eat McDonalds, you'll be eating a lot less than you would be if you were eating healthy foods.

If you exercise more, you can eat more. If you exercise less, you have to eat less.

Anytime I want to lose weight I exercise more and consume less calories. Anytime I feel like I'm gaining weight and want to maintain, I do one of the two.

Not rocket science and it's worked everytime.

Yep, that's exactly the premise of The Hacker's Diet.

A pretty interesting read that puts the whole 'weight loss' issue in a more engineering-like perspective.

Ugh, weight. My problem is with maintaining my weight. I actually managed to lose forty pounds last year, and was at a normal weight for my height. I was so proud of myself for doing it the diet and exercise way, but when summer ended, work piled up and I went to the gym less and didn't pay attention to the food I ate.

So today, I gained thirty of those forty pounds I lost. So, I believe that there's more to just losing but, but maintaining it after losing it.

When I was in high school I was kind of a fitness nut. I was never heavy I just had a lot of muscle because I worked with horses, swam and worked out on my exercise ball. But now I'm a little heavier then I'll like to be. I've found that the best diet is just eating healthy. Avoid high sodium foods that have alot of preservatives ex: instant ramen because it doesn't matter how much you exercise you'll puff up and gain water weight. Also avoiding alcohol and eating later in the evening helps a lot. Eating a well balanced diet helps too, with a lot of fiber and a big high protein breakfast I found works well for me. ^_^

I don't know if this was said already or not but all diets no matter what kind can cause serious health problems!!!

I've never been on a diet (I have a veeeery high metabolism) so I wouldn't know which ones work better, but every time my mom starts a new diet regime I immediately discourage her from it...

Instead of dieting you should eat whatever you want three times a day, but in regular hours. Every day you must it in the same times, the regular meals make your body respond better and be ready for the food it's about to receive. That way even if you eat more then you need it will not harm you and make you fatter. You can have small snacks in between meal, and by small I mean a chocolate bar a salad or something like that.
If you do this and work out daily you will get to the perfect weight for your body. If after you get it you would still like to lose a few extra pound all you need to do is work out a little more everyday.

And again trust me on this' as my father's a doctor and I had to go to dozens of dietitians because of my fast metabolism, DIETS ARE NOT HEALTHY AND WILL MOST LIKELY BE THE DEATH OF YOU.
