On the cover of the March 2011 issue of monthly Comic Alive in the bottom right corner is a girl with long dark hair tied with ribbons and red eyes wearing a brown outfit (probably a school uniform), and I can't figure out who she is.I tried looking through all the series from Comics Alive and still couldn't figure out who she was. Does anyone know?

It says the name on the bottom of the magazine too.

Although the eyes here are green instead of red, I think it's Suzutsuki Kanade from Mayo Chiki! The characters have different eye colors in the manga than in the light novel.

@ShadowSakura Actually that is "Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai" (which alldark also mentioned) and I don't think its from that, although there uniforms do have brown. And although that text is above the image...

@Dafat-MKII This magazine doesn't only have Maria-Holic, the title is just the largest since Matsurika is the main cover image. And althought this mangas uniforms are also brown its not the same XD

@kureha From the text underneath I also thought it must be Mayo Chiki! since underneath the picture its about the Mayo Chiki! furoku but I couldn't find any images with Suzutsuki with red eyes.... Ok, I lied, I looked some more just now and found a couple, she's just less sharp-eyed and a little rounder in the manga. I thought it was a uniform but I guess its her usual long skirted dress. I read the manga before posting this but was convinced it wasn't her >_< I forgot that the light novel drawings are sometimes different. But it was very good if you like moe, which I do XD Can't wait for the anime! I prefer the light novel Suzutsuki (obviously XD) so I hope they use that design!

I totally didn't read the OP properly, thought s/he was looking for the main image. My bad.

It's okay, she doesn't look that alike...well she may. I just the cover and the right corner bottom pic is Mayo Chiki!. The reason is quite easy...it says Mayo Chiki! under the picture, the second pinkish line. You can compare that line with the line on mu database entry for Mayo Chiki!

I think s/he knows Japanese.

Aaaaaaannddd the link to the manga on MU because I'm filled with the warm glow of completing a shoujo series. Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge. I don't think you're incapable of searching, but just trying to make things more convenient. ^^

Edit2: I have this horrible feeling that I'm misleading you now, because I can't read the kanji before the actual manga title (too blurry) so they might have done other mentions there. Juat a heads up.

It's cutting and separation, not cutting separation or separation cut

While Dansaibunri could be translated as cutting and separation (vaguely), I don't think Separation Cut or Cutting Separation is wrong either...
It's 2 compound kanjis linked with no article so it's reasonable to assume that the and is non existent and they're describing each other.

In this case, It's cutting and separation ( I just checked)

Yes, what you said isn't wrong, in another case it could be cutting separation or separation cut

Literal translations even tough can't be said wrong sometimes don't have the meaning intended.


Edit: To check I used the english translation by kono-basho, they did a better job than me tough, they used cutting and severing, the meaning is almost the same but severing sounds better
