Now guys don't hate on me or anything but is it just me or is this manga started to turn into one of those standard shounen mangas with the whole training-powering up-beating bad dude--a more powerful bad dude comes--training-powering up etc thing? Lately the chapters have been focusing on how all these characters are in a rpg game, Oga is training to be more powerful etc. There are some parts that are still funny but it just doesn't have that "awesome" factor anymore which was what I was kinda expecting as later chapters came out but am still disappointed.

It's not the fights that keep me coming back for more, it's the comedy. I can forgive it's pitfalls because of how hilarious the manga is. As long as it doesn't lose the humor, I don't mind. It's not really adding a new spin to the various cliche's it employs, but the manga does a good job of making fun of those some conventions.

hope it won't get that way, but the humor is really awesome. LOL!

i just love the authors humor. way better than those action mangaka who can´t decide if they want comedy or drama in their work

As long as mangaka doesnt loose its humor and comedic element in his work then I don't think this series will ever become or get into boring category.

I didn't think anyone read this for the action, lol. The laughs is what kept me going.

i think i agree with most of whats said before. as the manga started i found it really great that he has to take care of the next demon king. then they got themselves into the demonworld and the first doubts starting floating around in my mind. remembering me more and more of bleach in particular.
yes its funny but it is also, just like bleach, very unrewarding. after every battle starts the next...
i start to doubt shonen as a whole. i love dragonball but i cant seem to name another shonen series that like. with that said, putting this series on my unfinished list.

Yeah, after the volleyball match there was quite the decline. This used to be my favourite manga amongst the ones I was currently reading. Now...it's changed, dude. it used to be cool. [Still kinda cool, but not as much]. Now Noblesse [comedy with action] is probably my favourite...or maybe ocha nigosu [i read the whole thing with a smile on my face, like i used to with beelzebub].

FMA might be number one, but i've only watched the animes [watching Brotherhood now] so it doesn't really count.

In short, I agree with first poster.

I read Beelzebub mostly for the comedy, but I will admit I did love the Toujou fight in there earlier chapters. It kept me reading continuously.
