here is the timeline that i remember:
1. kids land with their ship in this new world, ship is damaged and beyond repair, so they take their (red) car and seek for help.
2. they encounter some soldiers that ride some flying dinosaurs and want to capture them. kids are well armed (i think winchester rifles) so they escape. soldiers never seen such weapons (their weapons are medieval)
3. they make some friends and learn that some evil cult led by a priest, wants to conquer the world.
4. one of thier friend wants to understand the wonders of the technlogy that the kids brought and studies their car. he takes it apart and puts it back together, but now the car look different, the cockpit looks like the head of a triceratops, and is painted green-red.
5. along the way some kids get captured and are forced to make firearms for the evil soldiers.
the rest is very blury.
i remember some names of the kids, but it was in the german tv, so it may not be of any help

the age of the kids spread from 19 to about 5 yrs old (President was the oldest one but he wasnt the leader Boss and God fought over the leadership)
